+1. Indiana now has "uncontrolled spread" and worse is expected to come in the midwest according to the New York Times. |
Are you not capable of learning anything? The PP said you showed no empathy and only talked about yourself and your son. Look at what you wrote in response: "He . . " "He . . " "He . . ." "He . . " "He . . " "He . . . " then "all good"! You have zero capacity to observe a situation and think about anyone other than your son or yourself. That's why the PP said "button it". You are harming the school by your selfish attitude. |
I do not have to button it lol. I can write about whatever I want on any forum on this website. So, once again, all good! He already found out he got a 95 on one of his finals. Coming down the home stretch!! Notre Dame is an awesome place...even during a pandemic. At least he is having a life. Jealous much? If you no like...do not click. LOL |
People can disagree with you without being "jealous." And, you SERIOUSLY need to spend some time in that church of yours. Because your angry, gloating, rants . . . not a good look and evidence of a deficit in your soul. And you are not a good example of your faith or your school or your church. It certainly isn't what Jesus would condone (and I grew up Catholic). Your priest can help with these things. You should take advantage of that b/c you have some work to do there. |
Uh, no. My kid is at Balliol College, Oxford University. |
| ^^ Can’t imagine why you’re on this board. |
I'm a college advisor so sim the DCUM "College and University Discussion" page quickly every day to get a feel of what is happening. The ND thread caught my eye since everyone is concerned about the implications of COVID. Covid shut down Cambridge University in March. Oxford decided to go ahead. Now all the Oxford students are on hard lock-down and facing (maybe) military intervention if Boris Johnson gets his way. So it's interesting to see how American Universities are handling the problem vis-a-vis the European |
| should have read: "so I 'skim' the DCUM . . . not sim. |
DP. Jealous? No way. Horrified? For sure. My Catholic kids are at Ivy League schools and embracing concepts of civic responsibility, which is consistent with their faith. You have painted yourself as the worst kind of climber I encountered in the local Catholic schools. You still have time for penance, and you should definitely rush to confession. |
Zing! Points to PP |
(Now watch: Notre Dame Mom will claim she and her son are not Catholic, as she has done in the past to get out of tight situations) |

| Notre Dame is doing great. It is working on becoming the first University in the country to reach community immunity. About 25% of the on-campus students have or had covid. And, they are helping out currently by transmitting covid around the State and soon - the country. Thanks Notre Dame. The goal is to see how many people we can infect. Sure, many will suffer and some will die, but what more could you ask for? After all - didn’t the President of the school catch covid by being stupid enough to violate school rules in public? |
If you clowns had any common sense you would realize that the whole country should have been doing this. By exploiting the huge gradient in mortality and other bad consequences of COVID, the spread should be encouraged in colleges, schools and other places for young people while only the vulnerable are locked away. Imagine what would happen if all places quickly achieved community immunity with closing down normal businesses and most of the bad consequences of the cure. If COVID is still active on campus, keep the students there and certainly away from vulnerable people. Sweden was right. |
You are stupid with such limited brain capacity that you can only think of how your immediate family can benefit. Just laying it out there. |
