| we played for bsc for a looong time before making our way across the bridge. BSC is a disaster. Apparently there was a failed coup against the new girl director organized by a disgruntled parent on one of the teams that merged and some board member who daughter has found her way to the bench. mclean has its issues but i would expect more and more bethesda girls showing up here |

| Personally I found the attempted coup post hilarious. No skin in this game or bethesda but makes me feel a little better about our clubs issues. Always nice to be able to say at least we arent .... |

| its not the kids its the parents. look above, fighting about a coach who is nuts and justifying it, arguing about who is the number 1 ranked team in md (who cares?) a freaking coup... to be clear this is not a bsc specific issue. i do think the lower teams at bsc parents are even more delusional than other clubs which is because of money but the issues on the top teams are fairly typical. it goes in cycles. bsc is on the bad side of one now. |

| dave yells louder. although we've never had him as a coach you can hear him from fields away. i never really thought kevin was that loud in terms of yelling. kevins obnoxiousness is more subtle. kids are interchangeable to him and he can be really mean in his comments and instructions. just nasty comments which dont help the confidence of teenage girls |

And yet they also beat a Beach side that is ranked #4 in Virginia and lost by a goal to Philadelphia, ranked #2 in the nation. Cherry picking results to match a narrative is fun!!! |

| DG is really obnoxious and whines non stop in every game, at his own players and the refs. Embarrassing and very painful to listen to. No wonder MD players drive to McLean to get better coaching by coaches they like. |

| In regards to "Bethesda girls are here to stay," yes they certainly are. But I think what the soccer community is seeing is a gross arrogance and superiority complex from those inside the club ("MSI was a bad loss") and acceptance of inappropriate behavior to be a "winner." Doesn't sound like a positive growth culture, sounds anxiety-provoking and ego-driven. Will definitely harden or scar those kids for D1 soccer, ha |

| Parent from another team here. These coaches sound incredibly obnoxious during games. It is embarrassing for BSC. I’ve played at a very high level and the thinking “get used to it bc this is how coaches act at higher levels” is just flat out wrong. The parents who are excusing their behavior know this as well. BSC families should expect better. Bethesda’s girls program is not going anywhere and yes their teams are decent. But nobody should be surprised when good players choose to go elsewhere like MDU and McLean because of this type of behavior. |
