US has no good options in Ukraine

China appears to be siding with Ukraine. If that comes to pass, then Putin is basically totally isolated here and he will seriously have to rethink his strategy.

Russian motto says that their only allies are army and fleet, and they are proud of that. The only country I’m aware of that supported them recently is North Korea.

Hungary and Belarus will be siding with Putin here, so big club!

He is completely unqualified for the job.

The CSTO alliance was Putin's post-Warsaw-pact and does not include Hungary. Basically their current members are Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan withdrew. Really, the only close alliance is between Russia and Belarus and even they have some frictions. Beyond Belarus maybe Russia could use economic pressure to bring in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan but frankly they don't have all that much to offer.

Hungary has been heavily invested in NATO since the 1990s and has (and continues to) participate in numerous NATO military actions and share intelligence.

You're completely clueless. He has multiple relevant degrees, is recognized in the field, and is far more qualified for the job than anyone you know.
Really, your ONLY basis for "he's unqualified" comes down to your own sheer stupidity on things like his choice in footwear.

You are the one who is completely unqualified to even comment here. Just put your head down, close your browser, and turn your computer off.

Dear god, how pathetic and petty. I guess Putin's mission now is to direct his state-controlled media to show the world that Russians are petty, inferior beings. Any thinking person in Russia is surely embarrassed for their state right now.

Really? Has Putin not seen Russian tik tok? Apparently he is unaware of how many proud open LGBT Russians there are. Putin seems like a stale old relic of the past.

Culturally and socially, Vladimir Putin is even more of a fossil than Joe Biden is. And that's saying something.
