A story regarding compassion and justice:

A few days ago a settler who lives in a wildcat settlement in the West Bank was driving around in his ATV with his brother. A wildcat settlement is one that is not even approved by the Israeli government and it is illegal under Israeli law. The area he was driving around is supposed to be off limits to Israelis. He gets in a car accident with a Palestinian man and dies. The brother says the following:

“Arabs from the village began to come… to scream and curse us, throw stones at us. I miraculously managed to call for help. They came after a long time, they managed to save us and took us to the hospital"

Video shows that's a lie. Palestinians from the village came to his aid. They helped carry the settler in a stretcher to a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance.

Although an investigation of the incident is ongoing, settlers claim he was murdered. They go on pogroms throughout the West Bank. Torching homes and cars, beating people.

The Palestinian villagers had compassion for the injured settler, coming to his aid. In return their homes are being set ablaze and their children cower in fear.

Trump says rising oil prices good for US because we are a net exporter, prioritizing corporate interests and completely disregarding the impact on consumers.

Conflicting Trump statements continue to move markets making one wonder if he/his family/friends might be trading and profiting on the information or if he is truly confused or trying to cover up how bad his decisions have been for the economy.

Trump trying to deliver a 15-point plan to end the hostilities without letting the American people (or Congress) know the terms. Delivery not going well because Israel/US killed Iranian leadership Day one (including people in positions we thought might be more moderate) and their replacements will no longer gather together.

To be fair, Trump's fifteen-point negotiation was DOA. It was not asking Iran to negotiate, but to capitulate and be Israel and the USA's biatch, for life, with no ability to be anything but such forever. If they are going to be open to military strikes and takeovers with no ability to defend itself in the future, they may as well fight for its survival. Is that not what we as Americans would do?
