Finish your thought please... or here..

11 Imported cases in Texas, no local spread at this time..

According to the CDC, nine cases came from the Diamond Princess cruise liner that disembarked from Japan.

Of those nine, six were confirmed by the CDC and the other three tested positive in Japan. Those cases are under quarantine at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

In addition, two other cases involved individuals who were repatriated to Texas from the Wuhan province of China, where the deadly COVID-19 strain may have began. The CDC said those cases were under isolation and receiving care at a designated medical facility.

I feel like for the longest time BNO Newsroom was putting that out nightly but now bc it's in so many countries all I see is tweets that are country by country rather than before where it was: x total; y of these are in China; z of these are Hubei etc.

Here worldwide total , updates many times a day, and below per country just scroll a bit

Her school has been shut down. She also had contact with individuals at another school.

She is called a presumptive case because they are waiting for federal authorities to confirm the state's positive result. (Side query: Do we need this federal endorsement? Will be like China reporting confirmed cases and suspected cases?)

The 19th is when she became symptomatic? So for a week or two weeks prior she was an asymptomatic spreader in an elementary school. No doubt the kids spread it asymptomaticly and are still in incubation periods as are their families. You literally couldn’t come up with a worse scenario other than the olympics.

She probably got the illness from one of her students, who may have got it from another student, who got it from her aunt, who returned from a visit to China in early January.

All the kids in her class could be SYMPTOMATIC spreaders. Coughing all the time. Kids are germy.

Remember, since we haven't been testing for community spread, the first cases we see will be the most severe ones, ending up with severe pneumonia. But just because she is the first we know about doesn't mean she's the first who has the illness.

I believe this "someone in school got sick" scenario is going to be repeated over and over in schools throughout the country. It will be telling how many people were already exposed and later get it before this patient got treated and brought it all to light.

So sad.

A clinic in Iran was torched because some people believed that #coronavirus patients from another city were quarantined in it, according to Iranian media reports.

“Although I assumed all medical bills from our time in quarantine would be paid by the government, it turns out that I am financially responsible for the six days Annabel and I spent in isolation at the hospital,' Wucinski explained on a GoFundMe page he has established for the family.

This is going to encourage people to NOT get treated and NOT get quarantined.

The government should step up to the plate and cover all costs for Coronavirus testing and treatment. Now. This is a public health emergency.

You mean like a public option. Or MFA?

The teacher with coronavirus in Oregon — the article said that her school was closed. But did they close other schools in the county??

If there were a positive case at a MoCo school, and they only closed the one affected school and botothers I the community, would you send your kid to school?

If you’re traveling for pleasure. You need to wait

If your mother is gravely ill, of course, you shouldn’t you go, but you wouldn’t mind the quarantine under those circumstances

You sound hysterical.

NP. Please see the travel forum - some are talking about changing travel plans but many are still planning to go abroad.

In a Chinese grocery in Flushing Queens there was a bit of a panic rice buying yesterday following Wechat rumours. Chinese social media is filled with stories like “Californians rushing to buy guns and will shoot people with the virus” and other crap like that.

The 15 year old in Oregon that tested positive and got it through community spread. He went to the dr with a headache, fever, and body aches. Before getting the confirmed positive he was “feeling better” and attempted to return to school. Why did they test him? His symptoms are about the same as half of America that has the flu right now.
