There were a lot. You can find pics in non-Trump friendly media as well. Bloomberg: ![]() Here is a short video clip from Twitter: https://twitter.com/CalebJHull/status/1146929339667230720 What you see here are far-left liberals who are frankly embarrassed because their predictions of doom and of Trump politicizing this event didn't come to fruition. So, instead of admitting they were wrong, and congratulating him for a patriotic event that went off pretty well considering all the logistics involved, they are looking for petty things to pick at. It's what they do. It has been their MO since before he was elected. And, it is this type of behavior that will likely help lead to his reelection. |
LOL. Nope. Not photo shopped. And, here is another ![]() |
Exactly. The Mall itself was much emptier than usual. I go down for the fireworks every year, this year included. Yes, the reflecting pool and Capitol were busy. But usually the entire mall is crowded and by the time the fireworks roll around, everyone's shoulder to shoulder. This year, nothing like that. It's strange that there are posters who are stating to the contrary and makes me wonder if they actually attended and if they did, did they only come to the Reflecting Pool and/or do they have any comparison from previous years. I've been coming to the DC fireworks for over 20 years, FWIW. |

wait - what? how is this leading to his reelection? is there anything you think *isn't* leading to his reelection? thanks for posting the pic |
I've been going to the Mall for the Fourth for over 20 years as well, and I have to disagree. The Capitol and the Washington Monument have always been the epicenters of activity on the Fourth, with concerts and activities at each end many years. In-between, crowds come and go from museums, and some years there have been displays or other activities out there which of course draws better. For example, some years the Smithsonian Folklife Festival has overlapped the Fourth of July festivities. However, rarely has the "in-between" portion of the mall been as crowded as the areas where the concerts have been held at each end, especially near the end of the day as the time for fireworks approaches. |
As liberals continue to focus on petty issues and throw out criticism where there should be none, voters, particularly Independents, note the behavior and the hate. This continued resistance on the part of the left is not welcomed and tolerated by many. As a result, many folks will either stay home on Election Day, vote 3rd party, or vote for Trump, even though they may not like everything he does. They just don't want to see a party that is acting bat$hit crazy in power. |
Hm. Well, I disagree strongly with your characterization of the opposition to Trump, and I guess we will find out in 2020 if your predictions are correct. To me, it's the Trump people acting bat$hit crazy, and I think more people want a return to normalcy - but, perhaps I am seeing what I want to see. |
A lot of us are just sick and tired of this asshole turning everything in this country into a referendum about him.
He just turned the 4th of July in Washington DC, a fun family celebration for generations, into a Love Trump or Hate Trump pissing contest. |
Independents are not flocking to Trump and in fact have been leaving his camp consistently these past couple of years. He is it making any moves to try to bring them back. He seems to think his base by itself is large enough to re-elect him. |
Trump just siphoned off $2.5 million of money meant to help rehab national parks and parleyed it into an informercial and new campaign ads. |
No one was there. No one at all. The photos are completely fake news. No one will vote for Trump. |
Everyone was there. It was just as big as the inauguration. |
Watching the speech now- love the shout outs to so many social heroes. Love the flyover and song for each branch. So cool! |
