I can't stand Rod Stewart. I just think he's so vastly overrated.

This is not the victory for the poor kid (tween), that it is being portrayed as. Dad should be ashamed for running to get into a scrape on the ground with an older woman.

I agree. I watched that video over and over, trying to determine who was in the wrong and it's pretty clear - the DAD! What he did was so incredibly obnoxious. Now, I won't deny that the woman looked pretty annoying too, but this situation wasn't her fault.

Okay, after hearing all the hubbub about this, I finally watched the video, and while I think the lady should have let it go, I thought the dad was kind of a douche to get up in her space like that. I feel bad for her.
I wonder if the roles had been reversed and she had got the ball and then the dad had got in her face demanding the ball, what would have been the reaction from the public? I think he would have been called a bully and an abuser.

Exactly! I mean, he walked all the way over to where there was already a group of people going for the ball - because it was in THEIR section. What a terrible example for his son.

Not a terrible example for his son at all. The ball was hit into the crowd. The first person to grab the ball gets to keep it. That's the way it has always been. This woman getting aerated because the ball landed near her is more of a bad example to a child.

Was she the only person in the area where the ball landed? Did the ball land on her seat?

From the video it seems that there were 4 people trying to get the ball. No one else that failed to get the ball went up to the dad complaining that they didn't get the ball.

So, you don’t think he’s sexy?

I’m surprised this is the first time U2 has been mentioned.

I cannot stand U2 and have mentioned it a few times in the past. I don’t think there are many like me though.

Really? They’re completely irrelevant these days. Not exactly top of mind for most people.

U2—like a lot of overrated bands/musicians—barely have a handful of hits. They simply don’t have a robust catalog…and their best songs are easy listening.

I've never liked U2 either.

I always just thought they were OK. Most of my HS friends on the early 90s were obsessed

I think Ben Affleck is a total hunk - gorgeous, brilliant, tall, rich - he has everything I need!

I love Woody Allen movies and I have since first watching What's Up Pussycat and Sleeper as a young child, and every one of his movies since (but especially the old comedies and his books Horsefeathers and his autobiography).

I don't care about their personal lives. I accept that Artists are crazy people.

I don't know any parent who enjoys travel sports. Even ones who want their kids to do them.

What? This is ridiculous. I guess the people you know have their kids in travel sports for the wrong reasons. They've been fantastic for my daughter and our family.

I think RHCP's best song is Dark Necessities.

Plus, Josh > John.
