Those older U2 songs stand the test of time 100%. Sunday Bloody Sunday is incredible! Yeah I think there was some “falling off” as they got into the 2000s but that’s not unexpected when you have a group that stays active that long.

You know what other group’s older songs go hard? And they never got their flowers even at the time and it always secretly annoyed me because people judged them on their most popular hits which were ehhhhh? Creed. I played My Own Prison constantly in the late 90s. It’s a really good album even to this day.

Did you just rip out “Rolling Stone” and “Forbes” articles to make your point? 😂

I stand by my original post, great entertainers with great songs. Fell off cliff. Not musically influential.

I do like their songs…and ‘Actung Baby’ is their best album.

Harry and Meghan Sussex have a much better work ethic and are much more charismatic than Prince William and Kate, who've taken seven extended vacations so far this year, four of them international, and one of them on a megayacht, and also have chosen a fifth "forever home." Harry and Meghan have also been surprisingly discreet, only setting the record straight a few years ago, about the abuse Charles and Williams heaped on them directly and through their "secret" compact of feeding the tabloids lies about the Sussexes to boost their own coverage. The Sussexes are better people than the Waleses.

That is how I feel.

That said, I give Kate a little grace. She was forced to go public with her cancer diagnosis clearly against her wishes. She doesn’t owe anyone any explanations about her own private health. I do hope that she does eventually give cancer causes a platform. As a cancer survivor myself, I now use my voice to spread awareness. But I also know I would have been PISSED if I had been forced to disclose anything before I or my family was ready. Earlier, she also got dragged for the horrible HG diagnosis during her pregnancy. That ish is debilitating-I never got an official diagnosis, but I was sick as a dog while pregnant. People made it sound like she was just a whiner. Leave her alone, people.

Preach.

(Though I do agree with the other poster about giving Kate some grace.)

I find large age gaps gross too. I am not talking about 40/60 year olds but a 20s/+50 plus. Did you see Cash Warren is dating a 20 year old? She can't even drink yet! My ex dated a 27 year when he was knee deep in his mid life crisis at 56. Our daughter was older then her and was creeped out by it. To this day she only has low contact with him which makes me sad for her. Age is much more then "just a number"

Especially bad- Dancing Queen.

I think the musical, Mamma Mia, is horrible (both the stage and movie versions) - but LOVE ABBA music and have my entire life.

Gwen Stefani is a terrible singer. I had to sit through one of her whiny, screechy songs while at the dentist recently and thought I would lose my mind. I don't even know the name of the song, but it's one of her worst.

"Rip out"? You mean, cite? Yes, I did cite Rolling Stone, which is somewhat of an expert on most influential rock bands. And they list U2 as #22 out of 100 - they are hugely influential.

NP. I mean, PP’s not wrong. You don’t cite magazine articles to prove your point about whether bands are good or not…

I might be biased, though, because I think U2 sucks and Bono is an insufferable ass.

Ah, repeating your screeds from the thread about Kate's hair, I see. There's something about nice, normal women that really gets under your skin, isn't there?

Sure you do. Especially a magazine known for their history of covering and critiquing rock bands. Otherwise, it's just a stupid "Yes they are!" "No they aren't!" back and forth. This is more than just my opinion. They are widely known being incredibly influential - whether you like them or not.
