The VMA KPop category award should have gone to a group with at least 1 Korean in the group or to a song with Korean in it. Otherwise it’s like Taylor Swift being nominated in the Latin category. Or they should get rid of all the racist categories altogether.

The winner was Lisa’s Born Again - she is Thai and dating a billionaire.

I agree. I watched that video over and over, trying to determine who was in the wrong and it's pretty clear - the DAD! What he did was so incredibly obnoxious. Now, I won't deny that the woman looked pretty annoying too, but this situation wasn't her fault.

Okay, after hearing all the hubbub about this, I finally watched the video, and while I think the lady should have let it go, I thought the dad was kind of a douche to get up in her space like that. I feel bad for her.

I wonder if the roles had been reversed and she had got the ball and then the dad had got in her face demanding the ball, what would have been the reaction from the public? I think he would have been called a bully and an abuser.

Exactly! I mean, he walked all the way over to where there was already a group of people going for the ball - because it was in THEIR section. What a terrible example for his son.

Not a terrible example for his son at all. The ball was hit into the crowd. The first person to grab the ball gets to keep it. That's the way it has always been. This woman getting aerated because the ball landed near her is more of a bad example to a child.

Was she the only person in the area where the ball landed? Did the ball land on her seat?

From the video it seems that there were 4 people trying to get the ball. No one else that failed to get the ball went up to the dad complaining that they didn't get the ball.

I think the endless debate over this incident is completely nuts. Who cares? Stuff like this happens between rude people everyday.

that is a tough one (new poster here) I probably would pay for that.

We had to pay for expensive x-rays and such when our black lab suddenly became paralyzed in her back end. I think the tests and such alone ran us near to $5K (probably included boarded, etc). They discovered several discs in her spine had burst/been damaged.

They then offered the option for a $15K surgery that had a 50/50 shot of working and a 6 week recovery time that would require us carrying our 60 lb+ dog around 24/7. In my mind, we just couldn't justify $15K from our savings for a surgery that may or may not work. And if it didn't work AFTER we spent all that money and time, then we have a lab that needs one of those carts and likely other medical equipment for whatever was left of her life. This sounded miserable all around.

We had a cat at an earlier time that likely had cancer. We'd already paid a couple thousand in tests and had nothing conclusive. We just decided we were done torturing her with tests and let her live until the doctor said she was probably just in constant pain. She made it another year or so and then we said our goodbyes.

Our next cat was an indoor/outdoor guy (he's the only one I have ever had). He was a hunter and apparently a fighter. He had paw injuries, ear injuries, and tail injuries over time. Our vet told us at one point they might have to amputate part of his tail. That booger. Luckily, we just had to treat the injury and his tail remained intact. We've had these cats that seem to cost us more money than they should ;P Our current cat is much less problematic, thank goodness. Only one expensive trip to an emergency vet when he apparently ate something he shouldn't have.

I'm the PP. Sorry about your experiences. I've had two labs (one a purebred, one a mix) that tore both their ACLs. The first one was older when they happened (a few years apart), the second did it at ages 3 and 5. Each of those surgeries were over $2K and I'd do them all again.
