He was completely wasted. He likely couldn’t get up even if he was just minorly injured.

Regardless it’s clearly not murder and this entire thing is nonsense. It’s a drunk driving accident. Should she have been driving, hundred percent no, so she should be tagged on I guess negligent manslaughter.

Yes, it makes no sense to me. She hit him accidentally, or another drunk hit him. The group was hiding that Colin Albert was there. Chris Albert went to jail for killing someone and fleeing the scene. He conveniently said he "walked home" that night. They all were drunk. The timeline of her hitting him barely (if at all) works, Higgins had a Jeep with a snow plow and people were shady about mentioning it. They were shady about their movements generally and communicated way into the night. It's a shame Karen's team didn't decide to go with another drunk hit him and covered it up because to me that is a way simpler theory to introduce doubt than a murder theory.

Yes. The highest charge against her is second degree, that means she had intent, but not premeditation. So they are trying to argue she intended to kill him. I just don’t see any evidence of intent.

Jackson is badgering. Team Jen.

He is just questioning her for sooo long about minutia and calls. Looks like he finally may get somewhere but he was doing it on Wednesday too and it's too much. I think Jen is a liar but he's not doing great at showing it unless a clear point gets made.

These texts sound bad but then again Jen turned over her phone voluntarily.

The one about "tell them the guy didn't go in the house" was really bad. They sound like they were conspiring to hide something when they should not have thought there was anything to hide.

Jen McCabe is toast, she's lied about everything.

Love that Jackson is exposing her live about calling her sister, lying to the FBI, and showing new texts we've never seen.

Its insane how bad they have all lied and that none of them will be held accountable in the end.

After she deleted a TON of stuff from it...

That's not true.

And the dog was rehomed, and they got new cell phones right before they were to turn theirs over etc etc. Shady AF.

If you think it’s shady that they got new cell phones then you must also think that the AARCA investigator is shady because he got a new cell phone and deleted the hundred plus text messages between him and the defense team.

I think the timing of the new phones is shady. I believe they threw away their old phones and got new ones right before they were due to hand their phones over to investigators. These are shady people. They not have been involved in the death of John O'Keefe but there were things that they didn't want discovered.

Did Jen call Nicole the early AM of the body discovery for 30ish seconds BEFORE she heard from Karen Read about John? IF so that is a very big deal and Idk why AJ didn't ask more about it.

I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. I think he’s referring to the calls made after they were at the house, standing out in front.

I thought the questioning about why Jen didn’t just go and bang on the door to get a first responder to come outside and help until EMTs could get there was an excellent question. It seems as though it would have been obvious to attempt to get help from the brother-in-law right there inside the house.

She is a VERY rich millionaire (her networth is $50 Million dollars!) crowd sourcing money for her murder defense! This is crazy! Why would she need to crowd source $500K if she has $50 million dollars? How can she possible owe $5 million to lawyers I get that they're expensive, but most do pro-bono work like this for high profile cases. Did anyone know this?!

She’s worth 50mil?! That’s news to me, probably the most shocking thing to me about this case.

I don’t believe this is true The NY Times link reads like AI.

NP-They went out of their way to get rid of the cell phones, the day before they had to hand them in. One drove it to a military base to chuck it! You may think KR did it but you can't be serious if you think this is normal behavior. Your fact doesn't make this fact any less suspicious.

Brian Higgins lives right near Joint Base Cape Cod and he has access because he's a federal agent. He frequently cuts through the base on his way to and from his Cape Cod home, which does not have municipal trash service. He drops his garbage on the base frequently, there is nothing nefarious about this.

Brian Albert upgraded his phone at the phone store like many of us do - also nothing nefarious.

Of course they both probably have a lot of stuff on their personal phones that they would have preferred not to share with the whole world - I certainly do, and I'm a boring middle aged woman with zero sex life whose idea of a wild weekend is the new season of Wolf Hall and a pint from the local artisan ice cream barn.

The whole defense conspiracy defense is utterly silly and requires magical thinking to accept as valid. The data prove John never went into the house and was incapacitated less than a minute after exiting Karen's vehicle, which has his DNA *inside* the tail light housing and his hair stuck to the lift gate in the area of a noticable dent and adjacent to the broken out tail light.

It's beyond ridiculous that this case is a global phenomenon cult of personality. But then so is Trump, as was QAnon and the pandemic conspiracy theories which persist seemingly ad infinitum - people online are still telling me I'll soon be dying an agonizing death from the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines I've received.

Carl Sagan nailed it.
