IVF embryos are people too

Silly libs, Republican women don't need IVF. They don't have fertility problems, ectopic pregnancies, or miscarriages and they don't raped.

They are really good Christian’s but if they happen to be raped and get pregnant, it’s Gods will and they will suffer and carry that Fetus for 9 months and relive the rape over and over again but they find that child a good home. Oh please!

But the people with money and resources will go out of state and take care of it. Only the poor will suffer the consequences.

The out cry is confusing. This is what Trump said he would do, he got the votes, he gets roe overturned...what is the problem? This is what Alabama wanted

That's what I don't understand either. It's almost like conservative women don't understand what they are voting on.

That's because most people are ignorant and/or vote/decide things with their "feelings" rather than logic. They're now witnessing the consequences of their decisions.

It’s not ignorance, it’s stupidity. It’s what they wanted. They don’t know how to think for themselves. They voted with other Fear mongers.

You most likely have to be close to the center during the monitoring before egg retrieval, the actual egg retrieval and the embryo transfer (usually day 5 after egg retrieval). I did PGD-IVF 5 times and ended up with 2 babies in the 2000s when it wasn't very common (only IVF was common). I had to assemble a team in Maryland, Illinois and DC and it involved medical overnight courier for the PGD part, or I could have done it all in Illinois but I lived in the DMV. It was super expensive.

In 2024 you can get both PGD for single cell mutation and IVF done at most large fertility clinics (like Shady Grove). But the cost, plus the drugs, are astronomical.

I feel sorry for the women of Alabama who are losing precious time. Every month that goes by mean you have less viable eggs. Their window is closing. This should be no one’s business but their own. The government should stay out of this. But, they asked for it and now they got it an complaining. You can’t have it both ways.

I know it's hard to believe but there are people in Alabama who don't vote MAGA. Should those people suffer?

There's currently a special election for a state house where the Democrat is running on REPEALING no-exceptions abortion ban. And she may win because people are sick and tired of ChristoFascists.

This is definitely an election to watch. Also, FL is trying to abortion protections on the November ballot. The FL Courts may not give it ballot access, but it’s going to be interesting to watch.

There is a tiny glimmer of hope in these godforsaken red states:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/03/09/desantis-florida-woke-culture-wars-legislature/

DeSantis faces pushback in Florida as voters tire of war on woke
Conservative lawmakers rejected a host of new culture wars proposals in the legislature

Florida has firmly cemented itself in recent years as ground zero for the nation’s culture wars. The Sunshine State is the birthplace of conservative parental rights group Moms for Liberty, the original law restricting LGBTQ+ discussion in classrooms, one of the strictest abortion laws in the country and legislation that has led to the banning of more books than in any other state in America.

But the pushback is growing.

Of course IVF is a target. The forced birthers did not get this? Wake up forced birthers...if you thought overturning roe was to save babies you were sold a load of bull crap.

Abortion is not killing babies and it is in fact healthcare. Now IVF is at risk, getting doctors to practice in red states is at risk, getting women to want to carry a pregnancy at all in a red state is at risk.

You stuck your nose where it does not belong and now
it will get bit off. Keep these forced birthers out of office to prevent further damage and begin the process of restoring sanity to women's healthcare in the country.

True. But this might be enough of an inconvenience for those with money and resources that it nudges some of them to vote for policies that will benefit all of us.

That's what a lot of evangelicals believe, that God wouldn't allow any of this to happen unless you deserve it. It's very demeaning to women.

Genuine question: What do they believe with regard to Viagra? What about other medical treatments? Where do the lines get drawn?
