Saw this from a mile away. Madison has talent. Yorktown cannot hang.

It was actually only a 3-4 game most of the night. The Warhawks put a few in late to open up what was a more competitive game. Looks like Yorktown is more competitive at home as compared to the road. Give them credit for challenging themselves. The rest of the year will seem easier.

It was 5-3 at half and Madison was up (last second goal for Madison to go up 2). Was a competitive 1st half and pretty back and forth with Yorktown controlling the draw. Then Madison seemed to make adjustments and completely control the draw after the half. Madison pulled away and outscored Yorktown 6-2 in the 2nd half. Good game between two aggressive teams thats for sure! Don’t overlook Madison they are well coached and have some players stepping up.

Very close game in the first half. Yorktown changed goalies for the second half and the game got away from them quickly. Madison stepped up and played well - kept their yellow cards to a minimum. Refs were playing for Madison - helpful to them but not the only reason for their W.

Just wait for the Vienna Warhawk pay for the refs increasing for the Oakton game. I smell 4 YCs on Cougar middies already….

Pathetic post that is a sign of insecurity and weakness.

Yorktown was no match for Madison. Folks have discounted Madison all season. Madison proved today that they belong in the conversation.

I think it's more that Yorktown is not in the conversation.

We’ve played many of them now. Scores can be deceiving. Oakton is team to beat hands down.

This sounds like a common theme with Yorktown this year. Plays a tough first half then can’t figure out adjustments in the second half.

Judging from posts and scores it also seems as though on any given night anyone can beat each other. You may beat a team now and lose to them in districts and then maybe win again in regionals. Not so sure there is a clear cut team that is heads above the rest. All the regular season back and forth is fun , but let’s see when it matters most come regional time.
