Saw this from a mile away. Madison has talent. Yorktown cannot hang.
It was actually only a 3-4 game most of the night. The Warhawks put a few in late to open up what was a more competitive game. Looks like Yorktown is more competitive at home as compared to the road. Give them credit for challenging themselves. The rest of the year will seem easier.
It was 5-3 at half and Madison was up (last second goal for Madison to go up 2). Was a competitive 1st half and pretty back and forth with Yorktown controlling the draw. Then Madison seemed to make adjustments and completely control the draw after the half. Madison pulled away and outscored Yorktown 6-2 in the 2nd half. Good game between two aggressive teams thats for sure! Don’t overlook Madison they are well coached and have some players stepping up.
Very close game in the first half. Yorktown changed goalies for the second half and the game got away from them quickly. Madison stepped up and played well - kept their yellow cards to a minimum.
Refs were playing for Madison - helpful to them but not the only reason for their W.
