Name him/her and why.
I’m a democrat and my favorite politician in the republican party is John Kasich. I don’t love all of his policies, but during the 2016 primaries, Kasich came across as genuine and having a heart. I look for those qualities in people – esp. politicians. I’d also invite George W to a cookout at my house – he’s a funny dude. Just trying to simmer things down over here – words out that we’re all savages in the political forum! ![]() |
I'm a Democrat. Ben Sasse isn't bothering me lately. |
Left and right now (vomiting while writing this) - Lindsey Graham
"If we implemented this budget, we'd have to retreat from the world or put a lot of people at risk — a lot of Benghazi's in the making if we actually implemented the State Dept cuts," said Graham. "So this budget is not going to go anywheRe" |
I'm 15:46- in the primaries I voted for Kasich hoping he would be the R nom since I figured I could live with either Bernie or Hillary but not Trump. My plan didn't work as you can see. |
Graham is hot and cold. One day he will be okay and the next your standard GOP hack. Kind of like McCain. |
I'm a democrat. I like:
- Olympia Snowe - She seems quite intelligent, knowledgeable and non-crazy. I admire her quite a bit. - Mitt Romney - I only (loosely) disliked him because he was running against Obama. Very smart, good business sense. - Colin Powell Former Republicans: - Wendy Davis - The epic filibuster lady with the epic sneakers. She was a Republican until 2006. - Beth Fukumoto - Was basically outed by her Republican party very recently. |
Dem here. I like Evan McMullin. I do not get the Kasich love -- he is really conservative. |
I'm a Democrat and my favorite Republican is Justin Amash. |
Comey |
Susan Collins - she's still a republican right? |
Wow really?? This is an interesting thread. I am a Democrat and I would say John McCain or Susan Collins. Can't bring myself to say Lindsay Graham even though I am respecting how he's handling the situation. I don't know if this is also an interesting question but my least favorite politician (I'm preemptively eliminating anyone currently in the WH from the list since thats obvious) is Ryan. I can't even say how disappointed I am in Ryan. I thought he was a great choice to replace Boehner and that he was a good family guy that had a strong belief in what he personally believed was right and wrong and it really feels like he's selling his soul. |
Isn't McMullin an independent? Albeit a conservative one. |
Seems like a very decent chap. Questionable whether he has the fire in the belly to go much farther though. |
I'm a democrat and my favorite republican will be the first one to put country above party. Still waiting to see who that will be. |
Republican. I like Cory Booker. |
