Can't say I have a favorite per se - but I like that Rand Paul is bucking the trend and trying to prevent Jeff Sessions from taking criminal justice reform back to the friggin 80's with that mandatory minimum sentencing bullshit.

Hey I ain't say I liked the man, I just appreciate him jumping on board with Patrick Leahy (D-VT) to get rid of mandatory minimums and give judges more discretion.

Gag me with a spoon.

I'm a Democrat. My favorite Republican is Michael Bloomberg. If that doesn't count, how about Bill Clinton?

Great thread OP.

Democrat here. I watched part of the CNN discussion with Bernie Sanders and John Kasich. Sadly it's too rare to see politicians, or anyone for that matter, have a open and honest conversation with someone they staunchly disagree with.

I actually called Kasich's office to thank him for standing up and being an adult and professional. The guy who answered the phone was completely floored. I encourage everyone here to do the same. Any politician willing to stand up to Trump needs to hear encouragement from both sides to the isle.

I'm a reluctant Republican. Jim Webb is my favorite Dem. I'd vote for Webb over most Republicans. Very sensible guy.
