2nd OT. Game is sloppy. Expected as it’s early in season. Prep’s fogo will keep them in every game with that possession advantage. Bullis goalie does not clear the ball well.

Bullis in OT. Prep played better team lacrosse but Bullis has athletes. Actually won a face off to get the W.

Bullis wins 9-8 in double overtime. Prep had good looks in both OT but couldn’t convert. Bullis goalie and defense played great, lots of forced turnovers. Prep dominated faceoffs and had solid goaltending. Bring the popcorn for the Saturday rematch.

“ By far the most talented team in the area. ”

Talent does not equal wins and apparently vastly superior talent does not equal wins. Great game.

11-9 SSSAS.

No offense, but the STA/SSSA game was JV level compared to the Bullis/Prep game.

Bullis parent here. I thought Bullis/Prep game was big time effort, but both teams were rusty. It’s to be expected. Both teams are uber talented. Look forward to watching Sat and see if there are any adjustments. Quick turn around.

Slight offense taken - couldn't both Bullis and Prep offenses put more points on the board or they saving it up for the rest of season?

Bullis has practiced more than any IAC team, and I think played more games. Why should they be "Rusty"?

Wasn't at the game. That Bullis slide they got flagged for that got Prep 2 goals looked like a weak call. Maybe the game has changed that much. But what else should a D man do to stop a scorer besides slide hard? Anyone else see a different angle?

If you’re offended then you must be either STA or SSSA. In which case you have no room to judge the Bullis/Prep score. Great game, awesome players, top 20 nationally ranked teams, and double overtime. Low score is due to the amazing D that was played on both sides. STA and SSSA have a lot to learn and a long way to go. Just watch the level of play and speed differences between both games, you will see.

No Bullis has a great goalie who had at least 3-4 doorstop saves at the end and they run a lot of set offense off screens. Prep looked more athletic but lots of mistakes and not as well coached. Should be interesting to see a rematch for other teams to scout.

Were the schools actually trying to enforce the IAC spectator rules?

the difference maker in this game was the Bullis keeper. The kid has started since a freshman and clearly has big time game experience. He made some crucial stops not just in OT but throughtout the game. If Bullis doesn't have him between the pipes, I don't see them winning this game.

I watched most of the game yesterday and was wondering myself, did Bullis not really enforce fans attending the game. It did seem like it was more than just Bullis parents at the game. Personally, I have nothing wrong with that either, my son graduated from an IAC school 3 seasons ago and I enjoy getting out top area HS games when I can.
