This was all orchestrated, first the FISA warrants to spy an opposing candidate, then the made up dossier funded by Clinton that was later used to launch the Mueller investigation in hopes for ousting a sitting President. Funding the dossier alone is not the issue here, funding it and then using it as the basis for FISA warrants to undermine a political opponent's election campaign is the issue. The RNC didn't do this, the Democrats did.

As previous posters have already noted, it was funded initially by the RNC but they walked away from it, it was then offered by Fusion GPS to the Clinton campaign who then continued to fund it. Again, funding it alone is not the issue. I am sure there are plenty of oppo research out there that was funded by whoever. This is certainly not the only oppo research that was ever funded. The issue is that it was funded by the Clinton campaign *AND* then used as the basis of a FISA warrant against a political opponent.

Did they walk away from it before or after Trump won the primary?

I’m probably not the poster you are talking about since I’m not outraged by any of the items above. Politicians fund raise over/on anything. Our political system is based on large amounts of money for both parties. We will never get campaign finance reforms since Congress would have to vote against their interests.

Even if it was used to obtain the original FISA warrant (it was, but it was one of MANY touch points to obtain the warrant,) the warrant was granted by a (GOP appointed) Federal Judge. Had nothing come of it, then poof, it goes away. However, something did come of it. Not once, not twice, but three times, the warrant was extended but (GOP appointed) federal judges under supervision from (Trump appointed DAG) Rosenstein.

That extension can only happen if there a fruit being born from the warrant as adjudicated by the (GOP appointed) judges.

We now know the FBI used an article from Yahoo News as independent corroboration for the Steele dossier when, in fact, Steele had talked to the news outlet.

If the FBI knew Steele had that media contact before it submitted the article, it likely would be guilty of circular intelligence reporting, a forbidden tactic in which two pieces of evidence are portrayed as independent corroboration when, in fact, they originated from the same source.
