Nope. This was all orchestrated, first the FISA warrants to spy an opposing candidate, then the made up dossier funded by Clinton that was later used to launch the Mueller investigation in hopes for ousting a sitting President. Time to find out just how high up this went in the previous administration. So it was okay, just a year ago, for the RNC held House committee to subpoena and release source materials for ongoing investigations (to no positive result) but now, the RNC minority objects to basic congressional oversight.

And a good number of cult 45 has gotten wiser and has deserted him. His approval has never crossed 45% and now is on its way down after Mueller report. The Mueller report disagrees with you https://www.politico.com/story/2019/04/23/mueller-report-findings-1287072 In fact, the only person claiming this is Papdapolous Joseph Mifsud, described by Mueller as “a Maltese national who worked as a professor at the London Academy of Diplomacy in London,” was the first to tell the Trump campaign that Russia had “dirt” on Clinton in the form of thousands of emails. His disclosure came in April 2016, well before the hack on the Democratic National Committee was made public. George Papadopoulos, the Trump campaign adviser who met with Mifsud and learned of the “dirt,” described Mifsud as “a good friend” in emails to the campaign about their meetings. Since being arrested and later imprisoned for lying to the FBI about his communications with Mifsud, however, Papadopoulos has insisted that the professor is a Western intelligence asset who was setting him up. But Mueller outlines in the report, for the first time, the “various Russian contacts” Mifsud maintained while living in London — which included a “one-time employee” of the Internet Research Agency, the company employing the Russia online trolls that Mueller charged in connection with the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign. Portions of this section are redacted, but Mueller indicates another Mifsud connection to “an employee of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” which had “overlapping contacts with a group of Russian military-controlled Facebook accounts” that were used to promote the Russians’ release of hacked Democratic emails. |

Funding the dossier alone is not the issue here, funding it and then using it as the basis for FISA warrants to undermine a political opponent's election campaign is the issue. The RNC didn't do this, the Democrats did. |

As previous posters have already noted, it was funded initially by the RNC but they walked away from it, it was then offered by Fusion GPS to the Clinton campaign who then continued to fund it. Again, funding it alone is not the issue. I am sure there are plenty of oppo research out there that was funded by whoever. This is certainly not the only oppo research that was ever funded. The issue is that it was funded by the Clinton campaign *AND* then used as the basis of a FISA warrant against a political opponent. |

No. it. wasn't. funded. by. the. RNC. There was no dossier when Fusion GPS was working for Republicans (not RNC). The dossier was developed once Christopher Steele came on board. He wasn't hired until AFTER the Republican that hired Fusion GPS withdrew. That is when Clinton's campaign and the DNC got involved. That is when Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele. For people who claim to be knowledgeable about this investigation, some of you are mightily misinformed. |

Democrats admitted to the Dossier being used to obtain the FISA warrant. They claimed that the use was "narrow", but they admitted to using it nonetheless. This is not in dispute.
