Feedback on VLC Club Lacrosse?

I think the coaching is excellent, but I only have rec and Cavs to compare it to, and my son is not on one of the high school teams, so make of that what you will.

Say what you want about VLC, but their teams are heating up and making waves, especially the younger teams. I think they had a bit of a stumble in performance being one of that last upper level clubs to reach into middle school and elementary school aged kids. Now that they have been doing so for a few years the dividends are starting to show. It's nice to see that solid practices and fundamentals still can yield results and all of the kids (there may be one or two somewhere) seem to be age appropriate. Can't say the same for some of these teams that have kids driving themselves to the 2023 games.

So lame. I love the superlative "all of the kids..." statement with the sheepish "but VLC does have some too" in parentheses.

As long as the kids and families enjoy it, that’s great and all that matters. Their youth teams went 7 wins, 13 losses this past weekend, which is respectable, but boasting isn’t called for.

I know the VLC 2024 through 2027 teams pretty well and I don’t know of any holdbacks.

The previous poster must have been referring to the 2024 or 2026 teams. 24 won top gun tournament and the 26 team made the finals. Every other year the teams are good. 25 and 27 struggled.

25 and 27 struggled because neither of them has an attack that’s worth a sh*t and they can’t score points.

Dude, you are talking about 5th and 7th graders. I don’t care who you root for or support, you sound like an absolute fool for this comment. A lot better ways to get your point across. Please don’t breed in the future.

Um, dude, the 5th and 7th graders they played against had attack that could score goals (many, many of them) so it is obviously possible for teams that age to have an attack that does not suck, you damned fool.

No, the point is you are a psychopath for calling out 12 year olds.

Clearly this poster knows about the ROI for lacrosse and knows that if your attackers in 5th & 7th grade aren't elite, there is no way they can get that big sweet scholarship money to the Ivy Leagues. You people jumping on him are the fools. Don't you know that his precious little Bryson, Colton or other appropriate bro named stud attacker son has been ripping nets since he was a toddler. It's time to feel the heat!

{this was clearly sarcasm and no actual offense meant towards anyone with aforementioned bro stud named children}

That made my day—yeah Ivy’s give loads of athletic scholarships!

Most of the offensive plays are initiated in the midfield - not sure why you say that about the attack or any 5th or 7th grade player - who are you? Both teams have good players and attackmen.

I am not telling them that, dolt. I don’t need to. They know they suck. It is not “psychotic” to say that the attack of teams that scored 4 goals in 5 games isn’t worth a sht, that’s just a statement of fact that any grownup (in other words, not you) should be able to acknowledge without getting butthurt.

And yet, they scored 4 goals in 5 games, so why were their “good attackmen” playing so poorly?
