She had help. The spot she chose to park wasn’t random. It’s the only spot, the best spot to park and access the neighborhood behind it. The reason she drove so long in the emergency lane was she was looking for a specific mile marker. More than likely the SIL who is actually her brothers gf was parked in the neighborhood waiting to pick her up. This pretty much confirms it

Agree this is the likely outcome.

Twitter has quite a few people saying they saw her at the party that night and she wanted time with the baby daddy. It seems pretty non-controversial among those at the party that she was there and with the 17 year old.

Yes….. micro aggressions. Some people are just too obvious!

Atkins Trim Lane is ~400-ft away from where she parked her car. If the sister-in-law was there when she called 911, then she is really dumb.

But it would make sense as to why she called her sister-in-law after 911. Wanted to let her know she was walking up and to ensure she was there to pick her up.

For everyone wanting to make this woman a paragon of your fave pet cause, you may want to rethink. Esp after seeing her social media.

No one is making her a paragon of their cause. Some of us are just not making shit up and trashing someone we know nothing about.

Actually, they are. All my qanon type conservative evangelical friends were posting up and down social media about this lady, combining the themes of child sexual abuse and trafficking of women. I ignored it, as the whole thing looked fishy from the start.

I hope she gets the help she needs.

She seems very dramatic and prone to extremes so either could fit.

That the family did not call LE before going to RRI or when she returned home suggests to me that they did not see the situation as a LE one at that point and where trying to address it themselves or buy time to frame the facts. The family was not acting concerned about a missing toddler or out of a zeal to catch abductors. They were acting like they were trying to shield her from LE consequences and mitigate her mess. YMMV.

It’s like you’re completely unaware that there’s a trust issue between black Americans and the cops.

Also, people have never been in that situation. I'm sure if I've been up for 2 days worried about my kid, when they finally walk through the door after I've been fearing they're dead, I'm not going to say, "Hold on just a minute, while I call the police." I'm probably going to fawn all over them. They have their own trauma. Maybe the advocate happened to call, or arrive, and then she called. Seems reasonable.

You'd think that someone in the 6 cars of family that drove over could spend 30 seconds to call, especially if they thought there was an abductor, but okay.

Where did you hear/read that her family didn’t call the police? I’m curious because there’s already a ton of misinformation on this thread, such as there was a GFM for the family when there wasn’t.

Dramatic detail, like leaving the car running. Also made her less recognizable for whatever her plans were, same as leaving phone and Apple watch so could not be tracked.

Her parents seem much more straightlaced as does the overtly Christian boyfriend. She seemed to want to slip their leash for a bit. Or maybe it was to get the boyfriend's attention if she thought he was straying per her post.

LE said who they were contacted by and it was the mom of the deceased victim/advocate.

I think if you've been in constant touch with the police, and know they've been out searching for your kid, you call asap!

It's clear 99% of people on this thread would have done things absolutely perfectly.

Wellll ... differently, at least. There is a whole galaxy of stars between "absolutely perfectly" and this show.

That being said, I think it's important to remember that it's unlikely the full outcome of this was anticipated by anyone involved.
- national media coverage
- a traffic cam that recorded the drop-off of the car
- GPS being able to pinpoint the brother's girlfriend calling in a report from the cul-de-sac just across the copse from where she parked
- etc.

I doubt anyone ever meant it to get this big. But it did, and people respond to the energy that they are given. There was criticism of lack of response, and the brother brought up racism, and so many people on this thread are being quite critical or any discussion that they don't like. All of that fuels backlash.

Nobody was fawning and praying before but then "angry" because she wasn't dead. They are angry about what is starting to appear as a premeditated lie and a family that was angry at not getting enough attention. Believe me, if she turned up alive and the story made sense, this would be a different national conversation.
