Not kids but MAGA and gun nuts.

It's safe to say that his militia upbringing had a role but so did the roommate/boy-girlfriend. It's all connected and they are all internet nut jobs.

But if you prioritize the issues here, the trans roommate is the least important unless he is an accomplice. It all began with Tyler’s parents giving him machine guns obviously.

They can't be separated like that. They fed into each other. The main common denominator is the radicalization and violent rhetoric that came at this guy from two different angles.

Nope the #1 common denominator is that a radicalized person was given guns.

Or 3d print one yourself!

3D printed firearms have not reached the practical stage and seem unlikely to.

Then they will just launch a rabid pit bull at you from 200 yards away! See, no reason to deal with guns?!??1

A person could outsmart a pitbull especially a group of people.

No kids too, make them take a class for a semester and drill the horrors of gun violence into their heads, no pun intended.

And also show them that not everyone dies, some become quadriplegics on ventilators, some are deformed for life, show them the shooter’s life behind bars. Take them to a jail for a field trip.

The internet fake friend gamer group is going down for conspiracy to murder.

We as a society need to figure out how to keep quiet internet-oriented boys raised in wealthy homes from becoming school shooters. I say this as a parent of one. If any of us (relatively wealthy parents of shy white boys) want to act like we are above this or unconnected to this trend, we are showing our arrogance.

They need more to bite on to than the internet.

He did it for the internet clout with his gaming/online friends. I don’t for a second think he would text his roommate to go get the gun in the woods and the roommate had zero idea why that could be

Yup

It also makes zero sense to text the roommate what he texted him, unless the roommate already knew the plans.

There are gay and trans MAGA, you know that right? Like Nick Fuentes who this kid appeared to pay attention to.

Yes we know, this is a violence and radicalization issue.
Kirk talks even on Christianity don’t attack trans, he was supportive of all of them and forthright on his values as a Christian, conservative, patriot, constitutionalist.

except MAGA is already taking it out on the LGBTQ+ community and made that clear from the first moments after Kirk's death was announced

Where is this happening?
Where is the “taking it out” happening and how??

I see more LGBTQIA upset about the shooting and death. Kirk has many trans and gay friend and supporters, as he was not threatened by them or their personal choices. He still knew what theology and the Bible said, but he didn’t force it anywhere.

So what I’m hearing is that associating with trans people does not make one left wing by default, is that correct?

Good, whatever, so can we address the actual issues here? Gun ownership and mental health?

I this case the real issue is unregulated and unfettered access to social media and online groups radicalizing young boys. They aren’t mentally ill, they have been radicalized. They are so starved to feel anything they go deeper into gore. Like the other kid in CO. He was watching snuff film.

Gun yes, but no one is talking about these groups who radicalize. We can start with Zuckerberg’s unregulated empire.

Absolutely.

The above will be crystal clear soon or if this has a trial (doubtful).

Are you denying that guns are the main issue though? Without guns these radical online groups would be just that. I mean, there will always be violence of some sort but eliminating guns should be a priority.

“Eliminating guns” is impossible and a distraction from looking for how people like this and other killers might be identified before they act. There are illicit guns in Japan, an island nation with a long history of disarming the population to make them easy to control.

Aren’t taxpayers offering $2k per gun, and clawback some resale value when selling to some other country that wants guns.

It's not because if it wasn't a gun then it would have been a bomb.

Sure, let’s get rid of guns first.

Zero people killed by bombs in the US last year.

>40,000 killed by gun violence.

Seems reasonable to start with guns.

Can you break out that 40,000 gun violence figure?

What was gang on gang, self defense, accidents, police line of duty, domestic disputes, and how many political assassination kills?

I could if I thought that was relevant.

You are free to also do research.

FBI gun killing stats are pretty robust
>75% gang on gang,
5% self defense,
1% accidents,
8% police line of duty,
3% mass shooting of over 1 person/ non gang;
5%+ self defense /domestic disputes,

and how many political assassination kills?
<0.01%

Make the kids live through a virtual shooting, as both as a victim and the shooter. Meet with shooting victims, and how it changed their lives. Go spend a night or two in federal prison.

So now, it is known that the shooter was:
1. A Leftist
2. Gay

How long will the left continue to deny their role here?

I mean yes, we can be defeatists and just give up, or we could come up with ways to decrease the number of guns. And make guns less attractive.

Super, let’s hear your more sensible ideas and plans for doing just that!

Please explain who the "left" are in this scenario. Exactly who are you blaming beyond the shooter.

Or we can just proceed as we are and hope just hope we aren’t shot by a lunatic someday. Is that better than trying to buy back guns?
