War with Iran

This week, the US Treasury lifted all oil sanctions on Iran. For 30 days. 140 million barrels of Iranian crude, sitting on ships at sea, may now be sold freely on the global market. Including to the United States itself.

In yuan.

The United States is purchasing, with Chinese currency, oil from the country it is currently bombing?“

“Trump asked NATO to send ships to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. Every. single. ally. refused. Trump called them “cowards” and said NATO has a “very bad future”. He then announced that the United States doesn’t actually need the Strait of Hormuz. He then said countries that do need it should police it themselves. He then told China to police it. He then sent 5,000 Marines toward it.

This sequence of statements was delivered, as far as the public record shows, by the same person, using the same mouth, within roughly 24 hours. The allies are cowards for not helping with the thing he doesn’t need, which is why he’s sending Marines to die for it, unless the countries that do need it do it themselves, which they won’t, because they’re cowards.”

Whatever, Iran’s military capability has been seriously degraded. Also, even after current hostilities end, Iran will be treated like Syria and Iraq, there will be periodic bombing that will barely make the news. (Page 20 of Post back when they had 20 pages of news.)

To what end? You think we will bomb them every time they build a new missile?

What a glib, reductive take on geopolitics.

It really annoys me when people equate being mad the US started a war we didn't need to with being an Iranian sympathizer. I simply didn't think it was the right decision to preemptively strike the country with no imminent threat. Of course the Iranian regime is not a positive force but us meddling with them only makes us more entangled.

I was referring to the idiot who claimed Israel attacked Diego Garcia as a false flag, while we all know it was Iran and has been reported in multiple sources as being Iran. There was no false flag. THAT is an Iranian regime sympathizer.

Of course, of course! It’s not as if we’ve learned days, weeks, months, and sometimes years later that what we thought to be the case initially was dead wrong. No, no - of course! Etch it in stone that Iran was responsible.

Well even if Iran attacked the site, the US and Israel started this site and have killed leaders, civilians, infrastructure, schools, etc. Did we expect them to just sit there and let us bomb them?

Trump is endangering lives.

Haven’t you noticed that we’re living in a do as we say, not as we do era?

I never could have imagined (thank god!) that what Dick Cheney was referring to when he pleasured himself to the phrase “American Exceptionalism!” was our exceptional ability to delude ourselves into thinking that our profound hypocrisy wasn’t going to one day be the very thing to bring about our undoing.

You report back when all international sources agree it was Israel. For now, that's just wishful thinking in your crazy imagination.

You’ll do anything to defend your community even if it’s abroad but not America.

Not my community, dunce. But if I had to choose between aligning myself with Israel or with Iran, I would definitely choose Israel. And no need for you to feign outrage, because it's clear you've chosen to champion the Iranian regime.

DP Sure, of course you’re not an Israeli propagandist, Jan. Totally not.

Look, you can think whatever you want but the propaganda being spread on this thread is transparently that of Iran. So I guess that makes you and your little cabal Iranian propagandists and terrorist sympathizers. I mean, the thread is completely monopolized by you psychopaths. Or maybe there are just a few who post over and over. Regardless, this is Iranian regime central and it’s disgusting.

So not wanting a global energy crisis and not wanting American kids as canon fodder for no reason is pro-Iranian? That’s news to me.

DP. I want neither a global energy crisis nor American troops in danger. I’m also able to call out Iran as the terrorist regime it is. Why aren’t you?

Eh, everyone knows Israel MO is false flags. Long history of doing and most people can name actual incidents of Israel getting caught. Mossad agents already tried attacking gulf state oil infrastructure and were arrested.
Plus mossad agent Victor Ostrovsky confirmed this behavior in his book by Way of Deception.

It's pretty hilarious how desperate Israel is to try and get other countries including all of Europe to fight its war. Guess just leaching of the US isn't cutting it.

This article conveniently came out right after the Diego Gracia attack. Funny.

Muhanad Seloom, lecturer at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, told Al Jazeera that the reported Iranian attack “changes the calculus” of the war for the US.

“These missiles to Diego Garcia mean Iran has 4,000km-plus ballistic missiles, and that hasn’t been revealed before. All reports before that said Iran had a 2,000km [1,240-mile] range and not beyond that,” Seloom said.

“If you reverse the direction of these missiles, then they could reach London, so that changes the calculus not only for the US and its justification for the war but also for a reluctant London and European Union to join the war.”

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/22/did-iran-launch-missiles-at-us-uk-base-on-diego-garcia-heres-what-to-know

Fascinating! And who benefits the most from that convenient change in calculus?

Iran? Or Israel?

Meanwhile, we’re expected to play along and look past the fact that, what?

That we didn’t try to blame the school slaughter on Iran? That U.S. intelligence and Israeli intelligence apparently are so incompetent that neither of them had evidence of these missiles until now, when trotting such evidence out before Congress would have galvanized enough support from both sides of the aisle to avoid what is going to become massive anti-war momentum?

We’re believing that, are we now?

TFOH …

You're free to believe whatever you want. Don't speak for others by using the royal "we."

Yeah, that’s the kind of shitty capitulation I’d expect from an Israeli stooge if the didn’t have the U.S. to cash checks they kept writing with their big mouths.

Please go away and don’t come back until you’ve grown up and can think and speak like an adult.
