| Does anybody know exactly who and where the money was withdrawn from? It's so confusing as to when the money was withdrawn, who took it out of the bank (if it was taken out of the bank, etc.) |

Bank of America and AIW Accountant was the one to withdraw the $40,000 so I read on National News Network sites |

Was wondering how suspect arrived at the amount of $40,000 for ransom.
it occurred to me that if suspect kept grudges over long periods of time that perhaps suspect felt the $40,000 would have been what his salary was before he was fired from AIW company. Anyone know what an average annual welder's salary is? |

Wint did not ask for $40K. He wanted a lot more.
The $40K may be all they could get from the bank on short notice. |

| I've lost track of the story in the news. Were any other people ever arrested for this horrible crime? Do the authorities really think this guy acted alone? Seems almost impossible to think he did, based on what I've read. |

How do you know that for sure? Did the accountant at AIW say that somewhere? Been following the case and read the prelim hearing and ye did not see that. Could have missed it. Did you read it somewhere? |

It is possible over the long duration that family was held that one person could have done it. The DNA found was connected to the house it was found in. Most of the ransom money was located/ associated with suspect. Wonder what happened to the Samari swords that went missing? |

I stopped reading and thinking about this months ago but I saw a movie that reminded me of it tonight. It just doesn't seem plausible that one person was able to control three adults while .... well threatening the child for leverage and following through on such threats. I expected the police to use wint to find the others. I also thought they let the others who seemed to be complicit in the crime as far as laundering the money, transporting wint and the cash- that kind of thing. I thought they were let go, not charged, because they would be monitored allowing them to build a solid case against this... person and counterparts.
I still feel this case is not solved. It feels wrong. |

Agree fully. It is just too much for one person to do logistically. Wint doesn't strike me as a smart guy. |

Have there been any updates? I guess the next hearing is in September. I hope a lot of work is being done behind the scenes, but it sure seems like the investigation has stalled. |

| I could believe he did it alone if he had Phillip by the throat and was threatening him. I also believe that the father thought he and family were going to survive this and he didn't want to provoke. Anyway, my take to this sad sad story. |
