Police and Media silent on this case..the 3rd DNA belongs to someone outside the family..never heard a word on it..I guess there are no unsealed warrants that were released since last month?

This is the 2nd apparent case I am aware of this year in the DC-VA-MD areas that was the result of a disgruntled worker. The suspect in the S family's murder was fired from his job TWO years prior to this crime. The equally sad Roanoke TV station murder was a result of a disgruntled worker who believed he did not receive sufficient severance pay TWO years ago.

There needs to be ways to identify anger issues very early on in elementary school as well as having educational help easily available for handling anger and developing alternatives for all. Precious lives lost because this issue is complex and not fully addressed

In the case of the Darron Wint, the bolded is internet speculation at this point.

It was my understanding gained from verified new sources that the suspect DW was fired from his position at AIW and he was considered a disgruntled ex-employee where there was a restraining order to prevent his appearance on the entity's AIW property.

It is possible for one person holding a weapon to have done this crime. Next month's hearing should provide some clarity on the DNA.

I thought I read somewhere that Wint was fired from AIW in 2005.

Long time to hold a grudge! 10 years! The impact of that firing probably made a difference in jobs he could or could not get in those years following that Either way it looks like his behaviours lead to his firing. His cousin or brother was fired as well with a restraining order. Really unsure of that one, with different MSMedia outlets reporting different things.

We do not know if the crimes were a result of it yet, but we do know that he was classified as a disgruntled ex-employee.

We also know that he committed multiple crimes and should have been in jail or deported.

I totally agree. Meanwhile people tread on eggshells and make many allowances for workers with these issues so that they will not be provoked and "go postal " -- which, by the way, is a phrase coined after there were so many violent ex-workers from one organization. I know of someone who should have been fired but was given a generous pay package so that he would be less likely to hold a grudge or react....

I would bet I know the same person. People try to pacify him because of his attitude. In reality, everyone knows how lacking and sad his situation really is. But he has no coping mechanisms (at all - as a grown adult) and has to continue the facade of a functioning adult, living a certain life, so it feeds on itself. While it is an awful situation for his wife and children, those around him actually let it continue, instead of getting him the help he needs. And he owns guns. Most people try to distance themselves, purely for safety reasons. He is representative of a bigger issue, a prevalent issue. When will it end?

Sorry to repeat quote without a note. I see this forum did not capture it before my computer service decided to quit.
I understand the situation too. How do you address a person's behavior or anger issues without being fearful of the results? Giving a person a promotion to remove them from work environment and appease them is totally unfair to all. No respect there. Like the father of the young daughter of the TV station …there has to be a way to prevent these crimes. Starting early at home and in the schools about how to handle disappointment and anger. "Use your words", etc. Watching what the kids are watching on TV and being the filter for what is not appropriate is a good start. I think education about how to handle anger just has to start in the home and schools along with limits to gun ownership
