No, I am a left-leaning person who preferred Warren, but who also thinks she's too old, particularly in coronavirus times. So I'm not supporting the person who I think is great for the job (Warren), I wish to support someone equally competent but perhaps less experienced, and definitely not Biden! I never liked Sanders, he's too inflexible, not likeable, is corona-aged and has already had a heart attack. But the younger candidates were pretty good! Why didn't they get traction? Why are we stuck with Biden???? Honestly, if I were a conservative person, I'd be delighted with Biden. |

Because we need someone who can beat Trump. Polls show Biden beating Trump today. I liked Buttegieg too, but he can’t beat Trump. I learned a while back that charisma and/or great policies are meaningless if you can’t actually win an election. That’s your choice: sit this one out and risk getting four more years of vile Trump. |

This He is a con artist, a very good one, perfect skill for politics. He has not lost his core supporters even with his obvious failures. He cleverly points his supporters to China. But I think he will lose this time. All it takes is 100k people in the swing states figured out his BS or got tired of him. |

Hmmmm...and she didn't haul off and slap him like she would have done to a regular non-famous, no rich, non-TV star schmo? So I guess he was right when he made that claim "and when you're a star, they let you do anything! You can do anything!" He was telling the truth. |

PP you replied to. If Democrats weren't so craven, we'd have an Obama moment with a new candidate, not a worn-out oldie. I do believe people can turn out for someone who is not Biden, and kick out Trump. Of course, it looks like it's too late now, and the DNC is going to close ranks. I think it's a shame. |

DP. Sorry, those aren’t the only choices. Many Democrats want a different candidate. If you were living in reality, you’d realize Biden’s time is long past. LONG past. |
|
						I’m okay with Biden.
Here’s the deal: Biden can get people to get things done. He already has the connections. He will not only have the support of Obama, he will probably have Obama as a consultant in some manner and he will have Obama’s former employees running to him to fix the White House. Really, what a lot of democrats want is to reverse everything Trump did so quickly it’s like he was never there. So yes, I get that he’s old. But in terms of real experience, he’s got it. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. |

Too late. That is no longer an option. It's been a year long process to get us here. Whether you like it or not, Biden is the Democratic nominee.. Those who think that Ms. Reade's story will change that are mistaken. She will have no more impact on Biden's nomination than a certain Stanford professor's story had on a nomination to the Supreme Court. Both of the alleged victims needed to have much stronger cases to stop either ascension from happening. You may have wanted "any one of the multiple younger and more competent Democratic candidates" but you were in the minority. The primary voters who have different priorities from you have voted him in and he will become the Democratic party candidate for POTUS. Now, you have a choice. You can choose to vote for Biden as the lesser of two evils. If you don't, you are voting to have another 4 years of Trump. If you value any Democratic values, you can't possibly allow Trump to be reelected. The one thing you can do at this point is to support Biden in ensuring that Trump is a one term president. Biden is going to be a one-term president. His entire goal throughout this was to ensure that Trump was a one term president. While many of you did not think he was the best option, more people disagreed with you and thought he was the best vehicle to do that. So, stop the in-fighting. All it does is weaken the Democratic party and candidate for the November election. The objections and arguments that are made against him are only helping the Republican cause to reelect Trump to a second term. Is that really your goal? Because that's what you are doing, bolstering the argument for Trump to be reelected. After Biden is elected to his one term, then you can start lobbying for the best Democrat to succeed him in office and help that candidate to get there. But stop fighting the next battle before this one is even won. Doing that is a good way to ensure that you lose this one. |

Technically, that does not meet the definition of sex; ergo, he did not commit rape. |

It’s LONG last the time to be whinging about this. Your candidate lost. So did mine (Warren). Our candidates simply didn’t get the votes. It’s over, and you need to understand that and move on. Don’t get the cons manipulate you into dividing the party so Trump can win in November. |

Biden wasn’t my first choice, but he was the one who got people to turn out in the primaries and vote. That’s why he’s the nominee. The end. |

You’re a really disgusting person. Having been grabbed like this a few times myself, sometimes a person is too shocked to say or do anything. Disgusting predators count on the shock. And they count on people like you, PP, to support their misogyny and bullsht. |

+100. I wanted Warren. But this is a democracy and our candidates lost in the primaries by a fair vote. You might be disappointed. But you don’t get to stage a coup based on a conflict-ridden account. Just like in the 2016 general elections, we all need to live with what the majority decides. Unless we get new info on the rape accusation that shows it to be unambiguously true. Nobody thinks that will happen. Not even The NY Times with its call to investigate the Delaware files. The Times just wants to put this matter to rest this summer so we aren’t still talking about it in October and we can (fair’s fair) open up all the allegations against Trump. Again, this is a democracy and your man or woman lost the primaries. Why would you undermine democracy in your own party’s primary? Don’t let the cons manipulate you into thinking this is in any way OK. Move on: the choice is now Biden vs. Trump. |

+1,000,000. First, this photo could easily have been taken before the groping. Second, your insinuation that stunned paralysis means “consent” is beyond disgusting. Do you really think a beauty contestant about to be judged by this guy will always decide in a split second how to respond? Or an aspiring actress meeting a reality show star? Horrifyingly, you’re not the first I’ve seen to equate consent to Donnie’s “when you’re famous they let you do anything.” I go on Fox once in a while and saw this in the comments section just yesterday This line of thinking is vile and disgusting. |
