Maybe not all, but they will be just fine with a couple of outside pickups. And the coach is a draw for sure. Good decision by the club.
some going down. Some are heading out. Coach is definitely an improvement if he can manage his conflicts.

You mean coaching a college team and then making FVU events. Quite the opposite conflict to overcome.

Just another thing to add to their website just like the showcases they don’t attend. No way he’s coaching that team.

Why not? He's already a coach this year at FVU and there are no issues or conflicts. In fact he is sometimes available for other teams too. So it will be the same next year. 2011s are lucky to have him as their coach already, and it will be the same next year.

Last year the 2008/2007 FVU team had their first 2 games on Sept 20 and 21 in NC. GW also played a game on Sept 20. Definitely no conflicts.

FVU 2011s gonna be just fine. You can focus your drama on Arlington & VDA.

Tryout season is over.

- Strong GA teams did not lose much to ECNL teams. Few GA players were spotted trying to change the scenery to ECNL. But nothing out of the ordinary.
- Not much of a turnout overall in any of the clubs. The most spotted players at tryouts were FVU 2011s trying to move to VDA or Arlington.

I think it might have been different if snowcrete didn’t happen. By the time ID Sessions happened, many of the girls had already re-upped with their current teams.

Yep. Weather ruined the tryouts. Most teams cut deals behind the scenes early February during the snowcrete . By the time the sessions started, everyone was locked already.

Do you think this is true for U13 or maybe less set because they aren't existing teams with returning players?

Nothing set. Nothing is ever set until Maryland window opens. Moral of the story is if your kid is worth it they can move well into late spring (summer, and fall)

We are a few years into this at the higher level but I wanted to remind everyone that it takes some courage to walk into a training or tryout session for a child hoping to move programs, no matter the reason. CLubs and parents alike, do not rat them out, do not text a friend or teammates parent, do not post a video of a tryout

+1 - you would think this shouldn’t need to be said. But here we are…

Parents asking others to out 15 yr old girls are creepy. Let’s all try to not be creepy.

Nothing creepy. Everyone is free to go wherever they want. It is soccer and there is no loyalty in soccer. Just ask the Pros.

High school season and the bridge is an issue for many.
