I know this is really hard for you to understand, so I'm gonna say it slowly. Two things can be wrong at the same time. And the response to something wrong should be proportional. So that means we don't support a genocide, even if those people have some backwards beliefs. Because life and death is a bigger issue proportionately to LGBT+ rights. Both important. Life and death comes first.
If Hamas wanted a proportional fight, then why not have it instead of hiding behind all those women and children? It's their battle strategy after all.

There's a book called iGen that says that kids today are extremely inclusive and also extremely unable to function in the world. Blaming conflict in the Middle East on boomers, sounds like the latter.
The boomers have been the ones in control of the world order for the past few decades. Kids today don't function well in the dysfunctional society our parents and grandparents have left for us. Oct 7th didn't happen in a vacuum. Israel did not come to be on Oct 7th. Hamas didn't attack first. They attacked more visibly in what has been a century of attacks from both sides. But one side is the aggressor, and the older generations want to put their heads in the sand about that reality because of their shame around the Holocaust.
You’re right: October 7 didn’t happen in a vacuum. For decades, Israel has sought a two state solution while Hamas would settle for nothing less than 100 percent of the land of Israel and, as stated in its charter and by its leaders, annihilation of the Jewish people.
Boomers didn’t create this tension. Hamas did. Rather than taking the last few decades to build itself up, it’s done nothing but focus on trying to take down Israel. It is a terrorist organization driven solely by hate and destruction.
The Boomers are the one responsible here for not swallowing up 60 second manipulative videos and deciding they know everything there is to know about a territory they’ve never visited, a people they’ve never met? No, actually, that is you. The Boomers recognize that this conflict has been happening for ages and it’s tragic that innocent lives are lost on both sides. They don’t try to oversimply or fall for the intoxicating, easy lie of blaming Israel for everything.
The world is more complex than good guy - bad guy. I wish it were that simple, but it’s remarkable how much hatred and violence you spew based on reviewing social media. Your righteous indignation belongs in trash while the rest of in this world - including the Boomers - focus on building and not destroying.
