Supporting trans people is not misogyny. Your fear and hatred of trans people is also not supporting or protecting women's rights.

The actual risk of an assault in a women's bathroom or locker room is minuscule but I think the problem is women not feeling comfortable in the space. For example, how many mothers would feel comfortable if they saw a 6'2" transwoman going into a bathroom or locker room where their 10 year old daughter is? How many mothers do you think would feel comfortable having their daughter and even themselves undress and change in a locker room that is no longer a female only space? I've heard stories of women who won't use gym locker rooms anymore because they don't feel comfortable and will wait until they are home to change. This is the reality of these policies. Women will feel driven out of their own spaces.

This is an argument in bad faith. The issue isnt primarily that truly trans women will assault women and girls. You know that. The issue is that there is now no definition of "woman" and any man can enter spaces that used to be for women. And men rape at much higher rates, and they seek women who are vulnerable due to location, intoxication, etc. Women want to be able to enter, for example, the gym locker room without fear.

I work out in a secluded gym with no staff. You just badge in. The locker rooms have badge entries, but we have tested and men's badges are coded to give them access to the women's locker room. I still work out there. But I'm scared every time I go into the locker room. This is the issue. I'm not scared of trans women. I'm scared of men.
