The White Lotus season 2

Did the first episode say it was a GUEST's death and that there were multiple other GUESTS' deaths? Rocco said this when talking to the female hotel manager.

I agree, but it might have just been to advance character development before things get going? I hope?

I'm afraid it's going to be a dud because the preview for last week was one of those that included clips from the rest of the season. I hope I'm wrong.

I can’t wait either! I hope Harper doesn’t have second thoughts and get up in the middle of the night and put the condom wrapper back in her makeup bag.

I find it interesting that everyone thinks Ethan is "such a good guy" simply because he's not Cameron. I find Ethan to be kind of a dick, TBH. He constantly putting Harper down with her gossiping, most of which is harmless and the sort of thing every married couple would do. He won't sleep with her and is kind of rude about that. He discusses fairly intimate details of their sex life with people she doesn't like and his college roommate who he is at best on the fence about. He doesn't sleep with Mia, but that's not exactly a badge of honor there.

I’m married to an Ethan. He rarely sleeps with me and uses sex to control me. It’s a mind F%ck. I cringe watching the show because it has made me resentful and just like Harper.

And he is always picking on people, constantly looking for 0.01% imperfections in their spouse.
Watching this show makes me cry a little.

NP here. PP, you are the one dripping with self-loathing, zipping through this thread sh*tting on everyone. Stop drunk posting.

I think it’s because I married an awesome guy who’s also attractive but definitely not Essex boy. Also I’m like 50 and it’s been a while since I’ve flirted with a boy like Essex boy or had one flirt with me. I’d be down.

Essex boy is perfectly fine. DCUM is just a bunch of classist pearl-clutchers who look down on people with tattoos and apparently conflate being working class with a propensity to sexual assault.

Yeah he’s the Man with a Plan. Fo sure.

Portia is obviously looking for Mr Right Now, not Mr. Right. But that doesn’t make him a rapist.

I am struggling to see how anyone sees this scene as anything other than consensual.

Correct, but he’s a skank.

She's not getting married. She's having hot s** with a hot guy.

She’s game for a skank. So be it. Her call.

You seem quite spun up about the sexual ethics of this fictional character.

Heh that PP isn't even spun up about the ethics - just the aesthetics. She thinks that her hot lay is too lower class for anyone to be interested in for a vacation fling - especially when you could be golddigging with the rich guy you're not attracted to.

It’s simpler than that: He’s loose and the girl is not or just does not care.
They’re both goal-less so here they are.

Seems like they both have the goal of having fun in Italy.

Yup. A lot more fun than the pearl-clutching PP would ever have.

Nope, been to Italy with my own hot SO, no need to be number 100 of the year for short Brit wanker. He’s not even a smooth talker.

omg you have to stop, pp. we all recognize your superiority. you've never wanted, let alone needed, to find a fun vacation fling. you have lived an impeccable life, and poo poo on those who have not - those who have been messy, and not gone to italy with their own so, as you managed to. what a star you are! someone should make a tv show about you. it would not be entertaining, but certainly it would put all the rest of us in our place.

Np. Omg poster is cray cray. Talk to your therapist about your hookups and ONS.

AH - you're brunch granny. I should have known. I actually would watch a TV show about you.

Lol I’m glad to know other people recognized Brunch Granny in this thread. 😂

Cast dinner

Looking at them all together it’s notable what a talented cast this is, even without Imperioli and Abraham there. And extremely well cast to their roles. I guess because White wrote many of these parts with these actors in mind.

Where's Imperiole

How would anyone here know?

It's always possible that there's someone on here that is directly connected with the show who would know.

Ethan doesn’t pick on people.

When he ask his wife “can you at least try” and at the Champaign scene, he is definitely picking on her.
She is a dud but there are way better ways to handle that. I recognize a lot of pattern - the man doesn’t want to validate wife’s good traits, she gets insecure and acts out to seek attention, which in turn pushes him further.

So, Tanya's husband is the ranch hand from Wyoming, right. And it's a set up to kill her?

But why not do it already? Why draw it out.
