Yes. It clearly says that. $1 BILLION over 3 years for non-citizens.
Screw the citizens.

Having them housed and not on the street is beneficial to the citizens.
Knowing where they are makes it easier for the court to process ( and likely deport) them

And it is necessary because of Biden's border policy.
He has caused this and NY, and every other city, is forced to pay the cost.
And, if you think any of these people are going to be deported..... LOL.
We need a new president and new leadership in NY for that to happen.

Putting them on a bus to Mexico is even more beneficial

Cool. So how do you keep them out?
The wall falls over in the breeze?
What do you want Trump to do to keep them from coming?

It is not a stretch to say that Trump did a much more effective job than Biden on this issue.
I have no doubt he can do it again. He will begin by enforcing our current immigration laws. And, supporting border patrol.

Biden has invited anyone and everyone to come. What else do you need to know?

Biden has not invited them. They are still coming.
So what do you want Trump to do to stop them from coming?

I’m really trying to understand here. I’ll freely admit I watch news that doesn’t focus much on this issue, because it hasn’t interested me much.
So, what laws aren’t being followed now?
What should Biden be doing? Is it just “stay in Mexico”?

Why does the GOP keep saying no to more finding for border patrol and all the staff necessary to process/ immigrants quickly?

We've gone over this 100 times before. Please refer to prior threads. No asylum claims heard for anyone inside the US to start.

Imagine what $1B would do to improve schools for our actual citizens paying taxes or for historically marginalized communities full of our citizens that could use one billion in business investment in their communities. 20% of all housing in NY is taken by migrants and the percentage keeps growing. That's 20% less housing for homeless American citizens on the streets of NY. Completely outrageous.

WE LOVE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!!! screw the people that follow the rules and wait their turn and immigrate legally.

Because it is a bandaid solution that solves nothing. You need to address the root cause that is encouraging them to come in the first place, like title 8 that makes a complete mockery of our immigration system. Then there is all of the rhetoric and actions from the current dem administration that basically announce to the world that we have open borders.

What is title 8?

People need to understand that although the US is obligated by law to hear all the asylum claims, expanding the infrastructure is just inviting more people.
Reinstalling Remain in Mexico and expanding it to those with kids would help though, along with diminishing the number of immigration courts here in the US. Arrange for field hearings in Mexico and make them swift and send people back except for those who meet the definition of asylum seekers to a t. No gang violence should fly.
The word will spread like it did by the end of Trump’s presidency. There won’t be an abrupt stop but it will cease in time.
All the money spent on shelters and whatnot should be spent on setting up facilities in Mexico.

Get ready DC. Bet many of these undocumented immigrants from NYC are going to start showing up at Union Station. Adams feels ignored and is going to make a statement.

Or even keeping them there until they lose patience and turn around.
