It's so weird that Jen wasn't at her ex-niece's wedding. Was she not invited, or is she not close to Brandon's family anymore? They were married for so long I just can't imagine being snubbed like that.

Also......I'm not Texan, so I need someone who is to weigh in on the appropriateness of that denim jumpsuit to a wedding.

The little hat. What is that about? Is he a cowboy preacher in the wild west? Is that something Texas pastors still do? I am so confused. I feel like some of these people are cartoon characters. Why did Brandon become a tatted biker in his mid 40s? Who are these people? Do they live in the real world? Is Jen going to become a flamenco dancer tomorrow?

I’ve been to multiple weddings where it was requested that no one post photos of the bride/groom or wedding party until after the professional photos were shared. Even more common is asking guests not to take any photos themselves during the ceremony or even the wedding (which is partially so the bride/groom can choose the photos to be shared, but also to minimize the appearance of people’s cell phones in the professional photos—I think that’s smart! It looks tacky to have a bunch of phones out, or worse/up in the air, during special moments)…

As a Dallas-area Texan, I’ve also attended more casual usually outdoor/barn-party weddings where the actual listed wedding attire was some form of “Cowtown Glam” or “Country Chic”—if that was the goal here, she looks spot-on.

Yes, I can see he probably is trying to brand himself. I really tried to get through this sermon and the bad music but just a no for me. This is why I am thinking of abandoning the Protestant ship altogether and converting to Catholicism. Protestants are all over the place anymore.

She might not have been invited but even if she was, who can blame her for not going?! Let’s be real! Even if she still maintained a relationship with the niece (and I’ve never seen anything in her posts of over ten years to indicate she has much of a relationship with any of Brandon’s niblings), no way Jen wants to go to a wedding with Brandon and Tina while being in such an embarrassing relationship herself. Nobody who’s not a masochist would.

So for half the guests on these occasions, they can wear their normal clothes, and for the other half it’s like a costume party. 😂 Very different from requesting a more generic “dressy casual”

Texas wedding can be pretty low key and chill. They can also be a lot of fun. Brandon and Tina looked fine. I am sure they had a blast. Nice seeing Brandon's kiddos having fun too.

We can be certain that if Jen had been at the wedding, we would have already seen Able links for everything she was wearing and Beauty Counter links for the makeup that survived wedding tears. 🙄 that might be why she wasn’t invited. No one wants to be the source of an influencer’s content. Brandon and them were just celebrating family.

Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is pretty steady eddy. I've even seen orthodox Presbyterians. Very consistent liturgy and lovely music.

Jen in the past characterized Brandon's faith in the college years as something that kind of distanced him from his parents for a while. Apparently they aren't Christian? So maybe throughout the marriage it put Jen and Brandon on a course away from his family?
