Do you remember when Jen went to her SIL’s brother’s wedding in Mexico and of course she had to be the one to cup the bride’s precious face and save the day when it started to rain. She can’t help but thrust herself at the center of attention always. If she had been at the wedding, we’d have a ten paragraph soliloquy about how much she loves love and how in love she is more than ever before.

My (thankfully) ex SIL was/is a kind-of influencer. Holidays had her taking a million photos but then posting one solo shot of her doing something reflective (well, here I am , calmly enjoying a book on the porch) So much disconnect between the private and public. They are always "somewhere else" and never fully present. Always wondering "how can I help?" but never doing the thinking or being proactive in the first place. Loves status and big brands. I wouldn't wish them on any family!

At what point so intelligent people, and I do think Jen is intelligent, reach the conclusion that this influence life with alm its trappings and pretensions is just too toxic and weird and soul crushing to continue and decide, wisely, to jump off the treadmill and become healthy, normal, adult type people??

I was wondering the same thing. But I think she looks amazing in it. It’s like a celebrity thing maybe? Not sure if it’s appropriate or not but she looks AMAZING so she’s just rolling with it.

Just here to say how glad I am that DCUM has this wonderfully active thread about this woman who is so gross and annoying and such a huge disappointment to someone like me who really truly did used to like her.

The denim jumpsuit. The hat on that pastor. Loving all of this snark.

Is the Reddit thread on her worth it, can anyone say, comparing this to that?

I do not see this pastor as cowboy preacher, he is definitely not rugged. I really don’t have words to sum this guy up, but generally anyone dressed like that in late 40s is having a mid life crisis. From the hat, to the birds on his shirt., to shoes without socks. Of course he’s preaching about what lent means and guess what it’s all about finding yourself. People are so predictable anymore

Imagine going through the hard work of seminary and devoting yourself to Christian ministry only to end up as Jen’s appointed pastor? Some where along the way this guy got seriously lost.

Was he trying to become an influencer faith/thought leader with all the right book deals and a “platform” or something? And all he got was a dumb hat?

Solid! Law and Gospel. Liturgical. Good peeps. Steers clear of the self help mumbo-jumbo. Go to therapy if you need that. Not Catholic or Catholic-lite. Can’t recommend it enough!

As a Dallas-area Texan, I’ve also attended more casual usually outdoor/barn-party weddings where the actual listed wedding attire was some form of “Cowtown Glam” or “Country Chic”—if that was the goal here, she looks spot-on.

Same—Dallas area; born, raised, and adulting here. Our 20th high school reunion in 2019
(which was at a nice place) stated “Honky Tonk Glam” as the attire on the invitation. Decor was sort of NashVegas lights/sounds with lots of cow print, which I also noticed at that wedding. Denim jumpsuit and belt buckle and boots would have been perfect. (Certainly if you look like Texas Barbie! 😍)

And were the flower girls carrying speed guns instead of bouquets?! Love it. Brandon’s niece must have married a cop and/or she is one?! 😆

The Reddit sub barely has any action but last week someone posted that Tyler DMd her lewd comments while he was in a relationship with Jen. Supposedly he’s still all over the ladies on insta.
