Her post this morning. I’ve noticed that a lot of people praise Jen Hatmaker’s takes about how women should basically be running the world, and honestly I just don’t agree. I’m all for women being strong, capable leaders and having equal opportunities—but the idea that one group should dominate or “rule” over another misses the point of equality. What frustrates me even more is how her political commentary gets presented as empowering when a lot of it just feels divisive. Real progress should be about cooperation, respect, and accountability from everyone—not replacing one kind of imbalance with another. |

Me either, but maybe its different if you have 5, and were married super young? My mom was also married at 19 and had several kids. She seemed very tired of parenting by the time the youngest was out of the house, and moved, finished college herself, etc. But she didn't need to announce this to everyone in the world, just got on with her life. She used her childfree time to do a lot of things, and grow a whole new career. |
