RHNY Season 8

I saw on Twitter this morning a People magazine article about LuAnn going forward with marrying Tom.

In the article it says he was caught kissing his ex-girlfriend - not a random stranger.

at least with a random stranger you could try to be blind as his fiancé is and think he was just drunk and did it "inadvertently"; kissing an exGF when drunk is like saying something when you're mad (it's true, but you never intended the other person to hear those words...he kissed her because he wanted to and still has feelings for her).

I was thinking maybe Andy Cohen texted it to Bethenny. They're good friends and she has sworn never to reveal the source.

What did people think of the finale?

I wasn't shocked that LuAnn took Tom back immediately. I wasn't shocked that she ultimately blamed Bethenny for the whole thing.

I WAS shocked about the story where they tried to bully Dorinda into lying for them and that Dorinda told that story on camera.

LuAnn is one messed up woman.

LuAnn has apparently banned Bethenny from her wedding....

Talk about shooting the messenger...

I was surprised about that, too! What was the point of it, though? Luann knew that everything leading up to that had been filmed and Bethenny had pictures, so I'm not sure how a "cover-up" could have possibly worked. I didn't realize Luann had such low self-esteem. Maybe the Count's affair really did a number on her.

I will say that LuAnn probably has raised her profile enough that they will offer her another contract for RHONY for next year. She has moved herself from "featured guest" back to full-time cast member, and this season has centered around her in many ways.

Another thing is that Bethenny told Luann about Tom while the cameras were rolling, when she could have done it off camera. She chose to make it a part of the show. So, it makes sense that someone from RH (Andy Cohen???) gave the info to Bethenny and said it must appear on camera. Either that, or Bethenny just chose on her own to make it front and center!

Ditto.

Me too.

Li bought this at a CVS when I found it in a 75% off bin. It was $2. I had my then 9 year old with me and she wanted to do face masks with me. It burned like hell...so I threw it out. https://www.amazon.com/Skinnygirl-Detox-Face-Mask-oz/dp/B008ZIJLSG/ref=sr_1_3_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1472042859&sr=1-3&keywords=Skinny+girl+face

They had a second Skinny Girl body scrub there that I bought, too. It was also about $2. It smelled horrible, but the "seeds" inside did a great job exfoliating and the oil based product left a really smooth feel to the skin. Even with the bad smell, I would use that one again...for $2.

I don't know why, but this cracked me right up. I tried a SkinnyGirl margarita that a friend was serving a couple of years ago. It had a really weird chemical taste to it.

I think she's gotta stay in the reality world to keep up her brand, but it looks to me like it's ruining both her professional and private life.

I think that's why LuAnn was ultimately so pissed at Bethenny. B did a bunch of sleuthing and nailed down the details to a point that Tom and LuAnn couldn't bullshit their way out of it. LuAnn said as much on the show. Because Tom and LuAnn would have just lied and tried to cover it up.

I don't know how a coverup would have worked either. It would have been desperate and weird. The weird irony to me is that story much more put the nail in the coffin that Tom is a bad guy and LuAnn is a loser than anything else. Not the stuff Bethenny brought out about him cheating. So why isn't LuAnn furious at Dorinda for telling that extremely unflattering story on camera, which she could have easily avoided doing?

LuAnn chose to make their relationship front and center. It was a major storyline of the season, a situation which she created. If Bethenny had told LuAnn off camera, it would have been a Beverly Hills situation where a whole portion of the season was about stuff that happened off-camera, which is a major fail. How are they supposed to all continue to film together and have it make any sense if they all know he cheated but none of them are supposed to mention it on camera??

I do think Bethenny should have told her straight away at the beginning of the weekend and not involved the other women ahead of time.

RHNY just keeps getting loony season after season. I wonder how they react when they watch themselves on tv. Lu was legit crazy all season long, but it does offer her another season. I do find it interesting that they spread out the reveal of the cheating in two episodes, but then rushed the next few days/weeks in a matter of 45 minutes. I think a confrontation of what Dorinda disclosed would have been amazing.

The jewelry scene was absurd. Though, Ramona's "I guess I'll gift this," was amazing. I feel bad about Jules. I just read up on her divorce. Her husband seems crazy, and is really public about everything.

She could have told Luann alone, off-camera, without anyone else present. Luann could have then dealt with it privately. Bethenny chose not to and/or was instructed by the show to tell her on camera and to have conversations with others about it.

Luann may have just found out that Dorinda told the story on camera when the episode aired -- hopefully Andy Cohen will ask her about it at the reunion!
