Out of curiosity, I checked her book out of the library and read it after the big hullabaloo about the ghost writer. Not sure it matters who wrote it because I did not find the writing to be anything to write home about. I imagine the only reason the book got published was because people can't get enough of books about the Kennedys. The only remotely interesting parts of the story are her interactions with JFK Jr. and Carolyn, and particularly Carole's depiction of her role the night the plane went down. But I felt gross for reading someone trade on her friendship with famous people who died tragically.
Oh, and also the old Hamburger Hamlet across from Wildwood in Bethesda had a few cameos in the book. As dive-y as it was, I loved the Hamlet for some reason. So I liked that the memory of the Hamlet is preserved in a book.
