LuAnn chose to make their relationship front and center. It was a major storyline of the season, a situation which she created. If Bethenny had told LuAnn off camera, it would have been a Beverly Hills situation where a whole portion of the season was about stuff that happened off-camera, which is a major fail. How are they supposed to all continue to film together and have it make any sense if they all know he cheated but none of them are supposed to mention it on camera??

I do think Bethenny should have told her straight away at the beginning of the weekend and not involved the other women ahead of time.

They probably edited the footage to make Luann's relationship front and center after they found out about Tom's cheating. They showed tons of footage of her talking about how great their relationship is when they knew they also had the evidence of him cheating.

DId anyboy buy any of that BS "I'm so upset" from Bethenny? The hand shaking, sobbing, curling up in bed? Everyone else, Luann included, was much calmer. Either Bethenny really is a mental case, or it was all bad acting to make herself seem sympathetic. I used to really like her, but now I really can't stand her and her bullshit. The constant handshaking while trying to get a drink? Does she have withdrawal DTs?

She could have told Luann alone, off-camera, without anyone else present. Luann could have then dealt with it privately. Bethenny chose not to and/or was instructed by the show to tell her on camera and to have conversations with others about it.

Yes, and if she'd done that, the women would have still all known he did it because he did it at a hotel bar and half of NYC knew. So then they all would have been talking about it anyway. That's called bad TV and at the end of the day, these women are paid and sign up for having their lives on camera. Not the part of their lives that are convenient for them, but their whole lives.

Bethenny's hand shaking when she was drinking was so fake. She was loving every minute of it. Remember from the Berkshires just how much she hates Luann. I am also more sure than ever that Bethenny has a personality disorder. She always has to have her enemy of the moment and makes up with the previous enemy. Hated Sonja then apologized to Sonja because Jules was her target, then apologized to Jules because Luann was her target, the cycle continues. I can't wait for her to turn on Carole, which she will. Ramona's meh, I'll gift it comment was why I watch this show, hilarious. I did enjoy that Jules called Michael her "little marshmallow," very unflattering description of a man. But was sad at the end when she said I love you and Michael just looked at her.

Without this going down on camera and without photographic proof, Luann would have just denied the whole thing, just as she is now denying his involvement with Ramona and Sonja. For a beautiful, seemingly sophisticated woman, she has incredibly low self-worth.

Completely true. I'm sure that played a part in why Bethenny had so many details and did it on camera. Imagine you have a co-worker (which is what LuAnn is to Bethenny) who is a chronic massive liar and spinner of the truth. For years. Well, the only way to nix that is to have all the facts lined up and do it on camera.

Still kind of stone cold, but I see how she got there.

betheny will never turn on carole because Carole kisses her ass too much and has zero personality or story line. She knows betheny is her ticket to staying on this show. Lets review her "story" this season. Dog wedding, lame conversations with that stoner boyfriend (zero sexual chemistry) about a book that is not getting published. snooze.

Or maybe it's that she doesn't value men and seems them as a paycheck and a plus one to a party? Not sure I would jump to the conclusion she doesn't value herself.

I'm basing my view on her self worth on more than just this recent incident. My opinion of her goes way back to when she corrected Bethenny for the way she introduced her to the chauffeur. It's not Luann, it's Countess de De Lessups. Her persona as the Countess was her whole thing in those early years and she way overdid that class with the countess/pseudo-grandiosity stuff to overcompensate for her feelings of inadequacy.

Luann alone is not enough. She needs a title, a man or some allure of grandeur to validate her worthiness. Her self worth is wrapped in what other people think of her. Above all, she is concerned with how it looks and what others think, keeping up appearances at all costs.

Can someone catch me up on the Dorinda story? I missed part of the show last night and that was clearly part of what I missed!

She didn't correct to Countess, she wanted the driver to call her Mrs. Bethenny is so informal, she wants the world up in her business, she doesn't get any level of boundaries.

Just saw the previews for the reunion. Queen B doesn't Like being called out for dating a married man while she was also married.

What a boring season. The story line with Bethanny being sick was boring. Jules continued insistence on having an issue with Bethany was boring. LuAnn's story was boring as was Sonya's "I've lost my boyfriend!" He was never her boyfriend, she was his booty call. It's pathetic how she doesn't get the fact these men treat her badly because she allows them.

She was getting a divorce for 4 years and was legally separated. She's not allowed to date for 4 years?

From what I read, the other guy was in the same situation...separated from his wife and all parties knew that was the deal.

Yeah, there's a difference between having an affair or sleeping with a married person who isn't separated and the above scenarios.
