Oh...umm...well there are actually many disturbing facts about various subjects mentioned on this thread...but to Gloria we really are all doing certain people a huge favor by resorting to innuendo...those not tuned in to all just watch Basis a year, it may be awesome and worthy of the hype but in DC they need to finish housekeeping

First-time poster on this topic. I’ve met Mary a handful to times and she’s great. She wanted to be part of a great school in DC, and she has skin in the game. She’s on her way, August 27 her own kids start at BASIS DC, and Mary will be working in the building every day. She’s central to the school and vital to its success. There’s no subterfuge here, no sinister manipulations. From my perspective, also with skin in the game; the trains are running on time.

First-time poster on this topic. I’ve met Mary a handful to times and she’s great. She wanted to be part of a great school in DC, and she has skin in the game. She’s on her way, August 27 her own kids start at BASIS DC, and Mary will be working in the building every day. She’s central to the school and vital to its success. There’s no subterfuge here, no sinister manipulations. From my perspective, also with skin in the game; the trains are running on time.

How do you know? Is this your gut feeling? Because you certainly don't have any proof. Apparently you're just "posting rumor, innuendo, constant needling - yet without any substance".

This is an awful lot of spin from BASIS boosters. Strange since the school isn't even open yet. Maybe you all should give it a rest and let your school prove itself.

Of course she has skin in the game. Simple logic: She's going to be marketing Basis to open more schools, and accordingly will have to depend on the success of Basis DC in order to make that happen.

Maybe those who aren't in the school should give it a rest too. I'm not going to the school but I'm also not posting about how horrible it is going to be.

Why the need to tear down other schools? Are people that insecure in their own choices?
