| Here's a new suggestion: let's end this thread entirely. It's 64 pages long and way past any point of reason. So let's all stop jumping a dead shark and go on with our lives. |
| Is this evil person's soul divided up among various horcruxes embedded in DC landmarks? Does he/she speak Parseltongue? |
|
So it seems that DCUM seems determined to resurrect a dead shark to jump over it some more.
Get lives, guys! Aren't you all supposed to be hating Yu Ying, Sela or any number of other schools in which you don't have kids? Or more likely you don't have kids anywhere at all? |

More fishing BASIS business. These folks are like a virus.
BASIS Charters' educational trade secrets "It looks like one of those heavily redacted CIA documents with page after page of "I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you" information blacked out. But it's not a CIA document. It's the BASIS application to open a charter school in San Antonio, Texas." "The three pages of the BASIS reponse to the topic, "Discuss the educational innovations that will distinguish this school from other schools," are redacted. Other blacked-out topics: Measurable student goals (2 pages); Educational program (9 pages); Extracurricular activities (1 page); Professional development opportunities for teachers (2 pages); Startup budget and budget for the first year of operations (8 pages)." http://www.blogforarizona.com/blog/2013/09/basis-charters-educational-trade-secrets.html |
Great point!!! How come the BASIS bashing, but not for Yu Ying or Sela? Huh, makes us wonder.
|
Of course the black out. The black out to give impression they've got some complicated patented high idea. cough cough b.s. DC an example. It's supported by wealth parents who want a place to use their money to run the place. No money no deal at BASIS. Got money then welcome to BASIS |
Whoa! somebody's out his head. Get out the tin foil, crazy guy, you're gonna need it. Hey, everybody, Basis exists. Get on with your lives. |
HUH, that's the strategy to discredit the truth; ridicule the person. Thanks for this BASIS info. I've been hearing here you can find interesting facts about this school and I check this thread periodically. At first I was suspicious about the posts but so far the majority has later turned out to be true. I remember posts about federal investigators at BASIS DC and people (like my friend above) discrediting it with foolish posts. But hey it was later confirmed in the WP. Please continue keeping DC informed. |
Someone can't handle the truth

Sound familiar?
"At first glance, Basis Tucson charter school looks like a world beater. More than 90% of Basis Tucson students pass the AIMS test"..."Mr. Block would seem to have an argument for why he and his wife have every right to enrich themselves privately with Arizona taxpayers’ public money."... "But wait just a second...The word on the street since day #1 of the Basis Tucson charter school is that any parent seeking to enroll his or her child in the school was warned off if there was any hint that the child would not score high on the barrage of tests a Basis student would eventually face. Limited English speaking child? “Your child might find our school very demanding.” Special needs child? “We may not be able to accommodate the child’s special circumstances.” http://nepc.colorado.edu/blog/judge-us-our-results |
Well first off having a successful charter school brand in AZ sounds like the new Silicon Valley start up - a road to riches, but with a lot less guarantee of sucess. Seems to be standard practice there, however appalling we might find it. Second of all, I think BASIS has learned a bit since then. The school head last year was ill equipped, he is gone. They were out of their league on IEPs and 504s, they hired an experienced woman who has a good rep with the DCPSCB to fix the problem, and the pamphlets about how to get help are front and center at the entrance of the school now. Whatever else can be said, they are doing a lot better at quickly and proactively responding to problems once they have been identified. The allegations of racism? Until the school is no longer majority AA and full of FARMS kids I call bullshit. |
yeah, it's all the trolls who can't accept that Basis is extant. |
Your argument is nonsensical. The majority of the south was black and they were the most racist. About your new sped approach. Why wait until the end of the year for a Sped person? And don't blame Mr. beer belly (you know he was partly following orders). BASIS is a place for those BASIS wants to serve (not for those they are supposed to serve). BASIS strategy is to keep a student population that reflects DC demographics( just that). Cosmetics is very very important for BASIS, thus the full Sped campaign. I would not be surprised BASIS has hired a PR firm to better their DC image. It's all about image with these fellows. Good try BASIS but DC has one of highest rates of smart folks, many see right through your facade. DC is no Arizona. You better get things right or else soon we'll see a huge FOR SALE on your door. |
"Trolls" can't accept BASIS is extant. BASIS Boosters can't accept the truth is alive. |
What is truly nonsensical is your allegation that Basis is somehow segregating blacks (that's what the South did), you can just hire a Special education professional in the middle of the year, there was some kind of conspiracy to mistreat DC students by Basis officials (Are you going to say next that Basis is being bankrolled by the Illuminati as part of their evil conspiracy?), and trying to fix problems is just Basis trying to make themselves look good. Admit it. Your school is being threatened by Basis because people want Basis and so you are trying to discredit Basis by spreading FUD about it. The only thing in your post that was true is that DC has a high rate of smart people who do not buy into this FUD about Basis. |
