Do you think there is only one poster who is against this? |

DP here. I’m hoping the broke ones do. The ones who are about the be totally screwed. |
There are many hotels in DC and surrounding areas. 1000 people coming in for an event would not be a blip. They would park at their hotels or fly in and take cabs/ubers and they would take cab/uber/walk/limo to the event. This aspect of the issue is a nothingburger. But tearing down a historic structure on the white house complex is a big deal. |

Trump said "We determined that, after really a tremendous amount of study with some of the best architects in the world, we determined that really knocking it down" [was the best course of action].
What I want to know is who are these architects? |
Really? Columbus, Jefferson, and Roosevelt untouched? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equestrian_Statue_of_Theodore_Roosevelt_(New_York_City) A google search will find many examples of the removal of Columbus statues. Here is just one: https://foxbaltimore.com/news/local/replica-toppled-columbus-statue-new-home-white-house And, Thomas Jefferson removed, as well: https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/24/us/thomas-jefferson-statue-removed But, the East wing is "iconic?" |
This is what the inside of the ballroom will look like.

A simple google search provides the answer. The architect designing the new White House ballroom is James McCrery, principal of McCrery Architects. The project, which involves demolishing the East Wing to build a new 90,000-square-foot ballroom, is being funded by private donors. McCrery is a classical architect, and the project is being built by Clark Construction with engineering by AECOM. And here's an article about him in an architecture newsletter. https://www.punchlistmag.com/p/what-to-know-about-james-mccrery-trump-s-white-house-architect-baf3a5b393403350 |
Every professional who worked on this project must be exposed. |
