Tear down part of the white house and it is totally ignored.

If there were not double standards, there would not be standards at all.

I don't think the issue with the tan suit was that it disrespected the White House. The issue with the tan suit was just that it looked silly. In line with the silliness of the rest of the Obama presidency.

Trump wears orange make-up.

He's a billionaire yet his self tanner or make up is beyond terrible and completely fake looking. His wife looks tan without looking orange. Why can't he use whatever she uses??

When you take the easy wing tour, you basically do the whole half of the WH - colonnade and the stuff on the east of the main building.
***Hear me out*** I don’t take any of this BS that it wasn’t special.
I guarantee if any of these maga folks were invited on a tour, they would have taken it, felt honored, felt the history, felt like it was an at least somewhat special place (at least).

Built in the 40s IS historical. You’re going to discount that it’s part of 80 years of presidential history?? And could have had MORE of a history??

I guarantee if they had been there the DAY before demolition, they’d be so confused as to why it needed to be destroyed.

My theory-Trump was told the ballroom would allow it to remain. Then, someone said it can’t be super close to the road (executive Ave which I think is blocked off??) there on the east side. And so they had to move it in closer to the whole complex. *therefore, they had to destroy the east entrance to make this happen* Prove me wrong.

So sorry for typos. I am in chilly weather and was trying to keep my hands warm while typing.

Massive golden ballroom bedecked like the palace of Versailles, while people go hungry and their healthcare costs skyrocket. Its really quite disgusting and out of touch.

Does it make sense to anyone? Seems he misses his Mar-a-lago set up where he can wander in on wedding parties or nightly events. But build this ballroom, there still won’t be club members lolling about and constant adulation. Just a vacant hall most the time.

Maralago is the chicest spot south of NYC and north of Havana.

Soon we will have some of that same energy in DC!!! Bring it!

It's not a ballroom. It's something else going on there. And it's just to show he can do it -- a big FU to everyone else.

Yeah, I get it, the actual demo is a temper tantrum. But the ballroom fixation seems delusional.

He’s just going to steal the money. There will
be no ballroom. He’ll take the money and leave the repairs up to us.

At this point, it's the better option. It will save us money in the long run.
