What exactly is the democratic party going to stand for in 2026 and 2028?

What positive message can Republicans run on that would counteract this train crash of an administration?

They are just going to manufacture something fake (like trans rights) and get Russia on it and in 4 years, people will forget this cycle and lap it up again.

If democrats keep insisting that men should play in women's sports, the GOP will have no problems.

I know lots of Democrats and not a single one of them think men should play women's sports. You must live in California or perhaps you need to step out of your bubble and talk to real people.

Then I guess a lot of democrats are out of sync with their own party platform. Seems a reckoning is needed.

Because there’s nothing more important than college sports /s

There are a lot more things more important, but the Democratic position on this goes to their honesty and integrity. That’s why this is so resonant: the Democratic position makes them seem untrustworthy and dishonest.

The Republicans will exploit this until the cows come home. And it will work for them.

Well that’s an indictment of the American voters’ ability to get distracted by triviality. Meanwhile Republicans have their own challenges with “integrity” with Trump enriching his family to the tune of $3B, and Musk stealing government information for his personal benefit. When families have lost their Medicaid coverage we’ll see how far “Trans scare” will take Republicans.

There is no nationwide political agenda to make men playing in women's sports a thing. This forum is dedicated to national politics. If you want to discuss what may be happening on local levels in a few parts of the country, find an online forum specific to those locations. The Dem Party currently has no national leader and therefore no national platform. You and some of your low IQ friends may have been duped into to thinking this men in women's sports thing is part of the national Dem Party platform but anyone with an IQ over 90 knows better.

It doesn’t matter what your friends think. It matters what Democratic politicians do, and they have uniformly voted to support men in women’s sports whenever they have been given the opportunity to vote on the issue, most recently at the national level in March.

True and let’s stop with all the pronouns in work emails. I am tired of the bullying to include this because the D love shaming and instilling fear that if you do go along you are in trouble. Let’s go back to just be who you are and if someone misgenders you simply correct them. In all my years no one has done this but if they did
I would be fine and not be angry.

So Republicans have chosen to destroy the country because of the Fox News fed version of what democrats are?

Seems smart.

Here is the other thing Democrats need to stop having race be isolating. I remember the mayor of Boston last year had a holiday party where whites were not invited and she literally had no issue with it. She didn’t back down or admit it was insensitive. These are the kind of things that have lost a lot of people who used to be more liberal. People are tired of the identity stuff.

Those Dem politicians voted against a bill that would have created a Federal Law banning transgender females from participating in women's sports. The bill wasn't passed leaving such decisions to states and local jurisdictions. Remember how the pro-choice Republican lawmakers were okay with leaving abortion laws for states to determine? If ridiculously strict abortion laws within the state of Oklahoma are okay with the majority of Oklahomans, I'm okay with a majority of Californians deciding they are okay with transgender women playing women's sports in their state.

I don’t even know how you can be taken seriously when the FAA is in shambles, Trump is using the military against Americans exercising their first amendment rights, sending the economy into recession with his volatile actions…tariffs, taking away healthcare for millions, wasting millions in taxpayer money on his own birthday, and his administration is full of incompetence.

Could go on and on and on and on.

Their first major coordinated action in Congress post-inauguration (other than holding up little signs when Trump spoke) was to vote to protect men in women’s sports. Obviously it is part of the national goals of the Democratic Party and they obviously care deeply about protecting those trans girls and women who want to play in women’s sports.

This is a forum for national politics. Stupid decisions made by city mayors and other local politicians aren't relevant to national politics. There are plenty of wacky local level GOP and Dem politicians all around this country. Those local level politicians are a problem to be dealt with by citizens of those local areas.

Trans, trans, trans.
It’s all MAGA has. Everything else is burning down around them so they’ll keep up the chant.
