Is she wearing Skechers? I sort of love that.

I love her look. Looks comfortable and is flattering too.

I get the intent and can relate, but I don't love the Skechers (or similar) for the outfit or the event.

Yeah, a nice leather oxford can be comfortable too.

Is it just the angle or is she starvation level.thin? Disturbing.

Starvation level thin. It's been going on for awhile. I know I am being judgemental, but she's 57. It's not possible for her to look 25 anymore and she should stop trying.

Which actress are you talking about here? At first I thought Ariana but she’s not 57.

And I can’t go back and find the Kiera K pic, I’ve always been in awe of how gossamer she appears, when did she get buff and …masculine-ish? I hardly recognized her. It’s beyond “Well she’s older,” it looks like her whole body type changed.

Nicole Kidman. I don't think she's coping well with getting older

She is doing alright for herself- still working a lot, even getting nominated is an honor. NK is still married after 20 years and appears to remain close with her family in Australia.

She has managed to protect two daughters with KU, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, from the spotlight.

It must be incredibly stressful to juggle her busy work schedule and family and the impossible beauty standards for women in Hollywood (everywhere actually). She probably hardly has time to eat

Women are body shames for being thin or fat.

NP Maybe I'm in denial, but I don't think it's body shaming to state that Nicole Kidman looks too thin in the picture. It's a fact.

That could be due to stress rather than not accepting the aging process as PP claimed

We all knew that, but she's also grieving for her mother.

I think this is it. She's had to soldier on to campaign for her performance but I'm sure it's the last thing she'd like to be doing right now.

I would read a health and fitness book by him. The amount of discipline it must take to look this young and good!!

Zoe Saldaña won the first globe - disappointed for Isabella Rossellini …

Female Actor, Supporting Role, Motion Picture
Selena Gomez, Emilia Pérez

Ariana Grande, Wicked

Felicity Jones, The Brutalist

Margaret Qualley, The Substance

Isabella Rossellini, Conclave
PREDICTED WINNER: Zoe Saldaña, Emilia Pérez

Isabella has a full life. You probably care more than she does.

He's only 51. And for sure gets Botox and has a trainer and likely a chef. What could he teach you beyond: be rich, have a lot of time on your hands, hire good help??

This is all anyone pretty much has to say about Zendaya. Her acting talent is very mediocre.

Movie stars get measured by multiple metrics, not just acting talent/skill. There is also a charisma/magnetism metric (it factor), as well simply looking very good on film. I think Zendaya is middling on acting talent and skill, above average on charisma/magnetism, very high on looking gorgeous on film. Often with actors like that, they get better as they age because the charisma/magnetism never goes away but their skill as an actor improves with experience. Sadly, for women, they start to lose their on-screen looks due to societal expectations and they often don't get a chance to develop as an actor because they stop getting roles. Look at Demi Moore -- she finally got a super meaty role in her 60s after years of not having much at all to work with, and she knocked it out of the park. She had a different quality back at the start of her career than Zendaya has now, but about evenly matched in terms of acting skill (Demi had a habit of over-acting in her early roles, perhaps the result of coming up in soaps, while Zendaya has a tendency to under act but that's also very much the style of this era so she may just be giving directors what they want).

In any case, I can think of plenty of actors less deserving praise than Zendaya. The world needs movie stars and she is one. She's a better actor than Glen Powell (though his on-screen magnetism is through the roof).

That's a lot of words to make up for her marginal acting talent. She was a child star but doesn't seem to be excelling as an adult actress around much more talented women. A pretty face can only get you so far.

NP. Seems like she’s gotten pretty far.

Two Emmy awards and a Golden Globe, plus nominations, and working with top-tier filmmakers. She's way ahead of her peers. I think she's solid not exceptional, agree with PP she has little competition. Except for Saoirse Ronan, who is only two years older than her, but reads as more mature. Same with Florence Pugh, who is only one year older. I don't think Zendaya is in their league, at least not yet. Sophie Thatcher of Yellowjackets is one to watch, but can't really think of anyone else. Julia Garner, but she hasn't done much since Ozark.

Agree on Saoirse Ronan but for me the jury is still out on Florence Pugh. I thought she was so good in Little Women and Midsummer and then nothing she's done since has impressed me. Whereas Ronan has shown an ability to carry movies on her own over and over.

Did you see The Wonder? It's a weird movie and I didn't like it a ton, but she definitely carries that movie and she is good in it.

She was great in the Olivia Wilde movie, too, despite having to act opposite Harry Styles.

Beautiful! And seems accessible for a normal person.

There used to be a company that immediately made knockoffs of some of the more wearable Emmy and Oscar dresses and sold them for a few hundred. I think they got sued out of business. I had the dresss Calista Flockhart wore when she wore the GG in 1999 and I loved it. I think it’s still hanging in my closet and I keep hoping my daughter will wear it to something. It’s vintage now!

This is gorgeous!

Calista is impressive ripped as well...

Isabella was incredible in Conclave, but it was a teeny tiny part compared to Zoe, who was in fact the lead or co-lead.

He does not seem like a nice or smart guy. Plus, it looks like he has had face work that distorted his face shape.

And have the world’s most meaningless and therefore least stressful job.

Dress itself is lovely. It is from the Haute Couture S/S 1966 collection by Hubert de Givenchy.

In a release about the look, an archivist at Givenchy shared, "The dress is pale yellow silk with a hand-beaded bodice ... from the epic Givenchy Haute Couture/Audrey Hepburn era ... cne of the most important unions between a designer and muse."

She looks absolutely awful.

She probably lost too much weight between fittings and they didn't retailer it. It was a terrible choice to forward with the dress as it was.

Her stylist should be sent to the mines.
