It’s a terrible location for anyone who isn’t walkable or right on the blue or yellow lines. I drive down there 3x/wk and it’s already a yuge mess. Alexandria is very inaccessible to most of the DC area.

I agree 100%. As a frequent attendee at Caps games, I certainly would attend fewer games if the games were held in PY. The current location is highly convenient for me, whether I drive or take Metro. The idea of attending a weekday game at PY has zero appeal.

Don't worry, there'll be plenty of fans in Virginia that'll take your place. It might surprise you to know sports franchises don't care who buys the ticket.

I don't know many people who like Youngkin, but even a clock is right twice a day, and this is a good move. As an Alexandrian I can't wait to see how Del Ray mobilizes, and if they're even remotely successful. Our leaders are promising all the public engagement we want on this, but unless you're supportive of the teams moving here, I wouldn't waste your time.

You alienate Moco, Howard co, PG county and most of NW DC. All of them are key players for season tickets/suites.

It will be GREAT for fans traveling to see the visiting team play given its location to DCA..just what Leonsis wants

I don't think this person has actually ever set foot in Alexandria. It's like 57% white, 43% minority. But then again, a lot of folks in the District mistakenly believe it's this magical land of urban diversity, and everything outside it is lily white and suburban sprawl. Let's just ignore the fact Alexandria has history that predates DC, and that Old Town is more walkable that 75% of the District. PG County isn't just the national harbor. Getting here from College Park, Hyattsville, etc will be horrific, even with Metro

Cap One is by far the most central location for any DMV resident.
