How about not get entrenched into social problems by not stealing, by not dong drugs, by not committing other crimes? How about doing a homework with your child every single day? Working two or three jobs like most immigrants do? No one going to fix it unless people make that conscious choice. |
So you would expect matriculation rates at roughly these levels and yet, they aren't. The matriculation still over samples white students and under samples blacks and Asians. |
If you think yesterday was bad for rhe left, wait until today's ruling on cake for a gay wedding and student loan ruling. Heads will be exploding around 11am! |

At different stages, but especially around 4th grade, beginning of middle school, and beginning of high school, a bunch of the top public school students move to private schools, so by the time they take SAT and AP and other high school tests a lot of the DCPS successes are not in DCPS any longer. In the top elementary schools in NW DC, about half of the students will end up graduating from private high schools or suburban high schools. |

I get that. But the AA leadership has one more generation to figure this out or else be permanently left behind. As Hispanics and Asians slowly take over this country through grit and hard work they will have little patience for this issue which they played no role in or benefited from. After trillions of dollars spent and 160 years after the civil war the ship is about to sail. |
Yes and colleges can still look at socioeconomic factors and consider how the race has affected the applicant personally in their essays. What it has outlawed is preference based solely on the color of someone's skin. I have not seen one good support for why such a travesty and blatantly unconstitutional and unamerican practice should continue. |
