DCPS spends more per student than any other school district, yet has some of the worst outcomes.  It’s not a resource issue.  You drive five miles from DC and you will see 1st generation brown skinned Asian elementary students doing advanced math in lower resourced public schools.  It’s a culture issue not a resource issue. And everyone know this whether they admit it or not. [/quote]

But you have to understand that part of the cultural difference is the fact that those brown skinned ES students aren't burdened by entrenched social problems.  No one (including Dems) has figured out how to address the underlying issues that persists in certain communities.  Not amount of affirmative action will address this issue.

I get that.  But the AA leadership has one more generation to figure this out or else be permanently left behind.  As Hispanics and Asians slowly take over this country through grit and hard work they will have little patience for this issue which they played no role in or benefited from.  After trillions of dollars spent and 160 years after the civil war the ship is about to sail. [/quote]
