He did until his advertisers told him he was letting too many racist comments get posted. Then he stopped because it was gonna hurt him financially. If you have had even the slightest interaction at all with that cretin, you would know he is far from liberal. |
The multipurpose room wing dated to 1921 and was also designated historic. Too bad that DCPS was too cheap to replace it with a brick addition, instead using a spray on coating that is more associated with highway hotels like a Days Inn. |
I stopped reading it after I noticed how heavily he censored the comments. Like, absolutely ridiculous levels of censorship of benign things. |
| Any update on motive or target or anything? Will we all just have to hope our kids don't get shot at on the playground come fall? |
| Suspects will be charged, jailed, and out in a couple of weeks, back on the street to try to shoot someone else in classic DC style. |
Correct one of his many factual errors? Comment deleted. Point out that copying and pasting reader emails verbatim without any fact checking is gonna land him in trouble? Comment deleted. Use the term "feral children" to describe Black kids or "sketchy" to describe a Black neighborhood? Welcome to the Popville Comment section! |
Sounds like Popville and GGW have a lot in common on deleting comments and cultivate a lot of the same commenters. |
It seems much more likely that this was a dispute with someone at the construction site, and construction workers will not be there when kids are on the playground. |
Oh, thanks. That makes me feel SO much better. I mean, all we have to do is remove "that element" from our neighborhoods and the streets will be safe. Thanks for the reassurance, PP. |
I think you're mistaken. While they both have their fair share of deleted comments, the cretins who get their jollies off posting racist screeds on GGW are welcomed with open arms by Popville. |

| For an anti gun ownership kind of city, there is remarkably little reaction to actual gun crime |
|
We’ll every time we pass gun control laws, Congress overturns them. But also, yeah, we are too soft on crime and there need to be comprehensive programs to prevent young people in DC from getting involved in this crap in the first place. We need to approach it from all angles. Because DC is so segregated it’s easy for th e rich to tolerate it but they are the ones that have the power to change it across the city. |
