Actually no one is perfect, and people do change. I didn’t cheat nor lie to my now-ex, and proactively told him about the ex-fling (who I wasn’t sexually involved with, and who was an advocate for my relationship). Since the beginning this guy was involved with a woman I knew nothing about and who knew nothing about me. Yes. He knew about the friend but I didn’t mention that we saw each other because it was so infrequent.
