You’re all clueless. Forget scores and Jeff cup. No one cares. It’s about talent and promotion. No other club in the dmv comes close. With TSJ backing, the goal is a IMG academy for girls soccer and ecnl won’t matter |
Oh brother. This plsnet needs another IMG academy like we need a hole in the head. |
Don’t be jealous bc your DD couldn’t get an offer. Stay at Loudoun. We don’t need you. Look at how many commitments we get every year. |
| Haha. Must be recruiting season. This is some desperate snake-oil salesman stuff. Never mind that all these DI players were recruited to FCV back when it was in ECNL. |
| Ok. Send your DD off to soccer boarding school if you must. Yuck. |
|
Hey knucklehead. Look at the facts
McLean 04? 0 Large D1 schools BRYC 04? 0 Large D1 schools however 03 had about 3-4 out of that whole team? Loudoun 04? NO Large D1 schools VDA 04? 0 Large D1 schools Richmond 5 LARGE D1 schools Metro 04? 0 Large D1 schools FCV 04? 7 LARGE D1 schools SEVEN. THATS SEVEN VS ZERO AT ALL OTHER DMV CLUBS. |
|
So desperate. When you cannot point to current results or quality of competition, you gotta razzle-dazzle them with past performances. “Emily Fox! Some other girl who came to FCV to play in ECNL against top competition! The same could happen to your daughter! Just please, please don’t leave our floundering club for any of the other area ECNL clubs.”
Sad. |
What’s sad is these ecnl clubs college placement record. They don’t have college connections or NTC connections. That’s sad. |
That’s reported commitments to TDS... These figures are not close to accurate. |
Nice try bozo. Have you seen our coaching and practice sessions. I have and it’s years beyond what Loudoun provides. Superior talent. Superior coaching. Best in class promotion and placement. Ecnl will be begging fcv to join next year. |
| I agree with the “pro” promotion people on this thread like taking full advantage of the connections you have. Promotion has to have some meat behind it to be taken seriously. So a tactic that seems to work for the “big schools” as someone keeps mentioning is handing out “camp invites” starting at U13-U16 which we all know gives each of those players an edge on their soccer profile. So as a result top schools see that and are more likely to give a look over players that don’t. I guess it’s just a coincidence how there are multiple “camp invites” that have been going to the same players who play for the club who also happen to play on the same team since they were 13. Again let’s be clear not just 1 or 2 on a team, more like 4+. All it takes is 1 invite to a camp and coaches will see what you got. So please stop with the superior coaching bs, this has to do with having a close connection with a pretty influential parent who knows this process very well and paved the way for sideline friends. The club has significantly benefited from this. But in a year or so this will shift. Maybe then all player pools will start becoming more diverse meaning... (from other clubs). |
Can college coaches properly evaluate players or not? a kid going to an ntc or claiming to go to one is enough for them? I seriously doubt that. |
| So I’m referring to the early commits to “big schools” that our statical expert keeps mentioning. I don’t know how it can be argued that having that experience doesn’t make you look more attractive in a pond of highlight videos & emails these big time coaches get on a daily basis. Obviously the kids that show an interest in that school will get a early follow up look. I mean why wouldn’t a recruiter put that player on the top of their list to check out? These players must perform when they get that look. So obviously those kids are performing well. I just find it unrealistic that of all the soccer players in the DMV- ecnl & ga (whatever) so many have come from the same team. Not buying the “superior” individual talent on the same team and never will. |
