2021 VA Governors race

Anonymous
There are too many younger Black Democrats in VA who seek to make the upcoming elections about nothing other than electing Black candidates for the three main state-wide elections (Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General) solely because of their race. They are lucky the state GOP is such a mess because they are a huge turn-off to many other Democrats.

Guess who was at the capitol yesterday?

Senator Amanda Chase

Of course, her security team said they needed to leave for "security reasons" SMDH

I thought republicans believed in local control?

Probably not when “local control” is making irrational decisions. Just a guess.

Why can’t the Rs exile the wackos in their party. I probably agree with Rs more on policy but I just can’t handle the gun nuts and conspiracy morons.

Same here.

McAuliffe was tweeting up a storm about his support for affordable housing in Virginia - shortly after his local School Board member undercut FCPS staff and made sure no affordable or multi-family housing got assigned to the Langley HS district, where McAuliffe lives and sent at least one of his kids. That is par for the course for these people.

I cannot take him seriously. So much posturing, so little real commitment to equity. His time is up.

You're going to fault him because a FCPS school board member acted like a slimeball?

Weird flex, bro.

No. The fault on him is for ensuring that the FCPS school board member acted like a slimeball on his behalf.

Let’s see McAuliffe place some affordable housing in western McLean or Great Falls before he pretends to be committed to that cause. He’s had plenty of time to line that up. Or maybe these people have one set of rules for themselves and another for everyone else.

Pete Snyder is a very reasonable non-crazy republican. His main platform is opening schools, so he has my vote.

Vote for Pete Snyder then. He is simply conservative and pro-in person learning. Not a wacko at all. (We know him personally)

McAuliffe was always a hack but the hypocrisy of his brand of Democratic politics has caught up with him. He is a has-been.

We don’t need former Governor Bag Man running things. He is a part of the old Democratic Party - a relic of the right wing Bill Clinton past

Justin Fairfax is the new blood we need to bring Virginia forward. Frankly, all of the above posters trying to stamp out his chances of running for Governor are coming across as more than a bit racist

Dude, he sexually assaulted women.
