2021 VA Governors race

Rs more likely to stand up to the unions (collective bargaining kicks in 2021) but Ds more likely to actually give the $ that schools need to make the necessary improvements. Ugh. Why can’t the Rs exile the wackos in their party. I probably agree with Rs more on policy but I just can’t handle the gun nuts and conspiracy morons.

The woman with the assault rifle is definitely going to try to open schools 5 days a week. You'd vote for her?

+100

And no other Governor could Moonwalk like him either!

I don't get it. They're wasting talent. Why not have 2 terms?

Terry might end up Secretary of Transportation.

No way Jennifer Caroll Foy is electable in a state-wide race.

Why do you think JCF isnt electable statewide?

Too young, too inexperienced, and too far left = limited pull in the critical suburbs. She could beat Amanda Chase but that’s about it.

Chase is the “best” R’s have got

Chase is the best R for Democrats because she is so extreme, but she won't get the R nomination without a primary. The GOP is obviously a train wreck now in VA, but there might be some Rs left with enough hopes for the future to try and head off Chase.

And Chase is definitely the best R for the Ds.

DP here. At this point honestly I might.

The Governor isn’t shutting schools. He is letting the local jurisdictions decide right now based on the health conditions where they are.

I thought republicans believed in local control?

It’s going to be an ugly primary process but McAuliffe is to VA as Biden was to the country. The stans for Caroll Foy can suck it. She is an even less viable candidate state-wide than Chase. And if Carter enters the race his supporters and JCF’s will do a repeat of the Sanders-Warren bloodbath over who is more progressive.
