Yep. He’s also a lobbyist for KIPP (and founder of Rocketship Charter) - he’ll do anything to be close to the powerful. Not sure why this guy can rule for the school board but FCPS teachers can’t.

He didn’t explain it that I saw—not here or on Twitter. His “supporters” also haven’t explained it. I could understand if MD and DC somehow communicated about it and it happened automatically. But it sounds like he would have had to intentionally opt out of the DC deduction OR claim to not notice he’s paying higher taxes for years.
