So is Jacque Patterson the charter guy the same guy on the Mayor’s Parent Council who sends his kids to Ludlow Taylor?

Charters for thee, not for mee |
Yep. He’s also a lobbyist for KIPP (and founder of Rocketship Charter) - he’ll do anything to be close to the powerful. Not sure why this guy can rule for the school board but FCPS teachers can’t. |
MD and DC do not communicate (at least automatically.. they would in teh case of fraud suspicion) over the homestead deduction. HOw did he explain _not_ taking the DC homestead deduction? To me, he's probably smart enough to realize that taking the deduction when you're not entitled to it is tax fraud = you can end up in doing time for it. I'm guessing he really is living in MD, which is why the tax records regarding homestead deduction are accurate. No reason to risk a tax fraud charge. |
He didn’t explain it that I saw—not here or on Twitter. His “supporters” also haven’t explained it. I could understand if MD and DC somehow communicated about it and it happened automatically. But it sounds like he would have had to intentionally opt out of the DC deduction OR claim to not notice he’s paying higher taxes for years. Seems like he would now owe MD taxes—isn’t that tax fraud the same as wrongfully claiming the DC homestead rebate would have been? |

The people on this board are nuts!
And obviously have it out for the guy. He bought his house as a single military dad TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO. The dates, names dropped, and inferences made by some posters here (I guarantee two of you) sock puppetry at its worst. What’s next? Are you going to lists the names and ages of his children? Camp out at his house taking pics in DC and Maryland? Give us all a break! Get a life why don’t you. |

With the obvious smear campaign being crafted by the OP, it makes me really want to vote for the guy, who has been living in Ward 8 since the nineties!
|
Close to the powerful??? Wow sock puppet you really do have it out for the guy. So close to the powerful that he lives in Ward 8 eh? Ok. |
“A colleague of mine? “ This where the smear campaign from the OP begins. Oh OP! Your slip is showing. Here are the flaws in your logic and inferences OP.... 1. There is nothing “weird” about buying a house. You pay for it through financing or cash and move on. Full stop. 2. Candidate Patterson’s DC home MORE THAN LIKELY is paid off with no liens, unless it was refinanced. It’s been TWENTY FIVE years for Christ sakes. 3. OP, you didn’t just “happen” upon DC Superior Civil court records. They don’t come up on a google search search. You have to search his name. Regarding the HOA issues , you conveniently leave out dates, and the resolutions of those cases. 4. When did Candidate Patterson buy his DC house and when was the DC homestead act put in place? It’s ok. I’ll wait. 5. When did Candidate Patterson ever VOTE in MD... it’s ok I’ll wait So many flaws in the inferences made it sickens me. Especially for an at large school board seat. Very very petty. |
Huff and puff all you want Jacque, but at the end of the day the fact remains. You are claiming residency in a large MD home (tax advantages and all) while expecting us to believe you and 6 other people are crammed in a DC townhome. You assume DC voters are gullible or don't respect us enough to tell us the truth. You have not provided any evidence to support your DC residency in the face of clear and overwhelming publicly available records. It is not fair to the other candidates who actually live in the district/Ward they serve. then you have the nerve to play the victim? |
Here the sock puppet goes again! I bet the sock puppet is parked outside the guys home with bad coffee and a camera . Candidate Patterson has been living in DC way longer than the originator of this DUMB post. Anyone who lives on his block can vouch for it. But the OP OBVIOUSLY has a hang up on the guy. Sock puppetry at its highest! |
Applaud you for replying here Candidate Patterson, and there are many of us out here who have seen you in our communities working hard over the last twenty years. So sad that the forum had to devolve to this to pull up personal info on you and your family members. I have reported this post to the moderator because it is the worst use of the Schools forum to use it as the Political forum under false pretenses. These kinds of posters are what makes DCUM a haven for propagandists. Here is the report I sent to the moderator : “ This post should be moved to the political forum as it was fraudulently posed as a topic related to DC Schools, It should be in the political forum as it was fraudulently posed as a topic related to DC Schools but isn’t . It is filled with personal information of several non-public figures and incites public investigation of several non-public residents. It is an obvious smear post of a guy running for a local unpaid elected office. It also includes with personal information of several non-public figures and incites public investigation of several non-public residents. “ I am not Candidate Patterson or in anyway affiliated with his campaign. I didn’t even vote for him. But I do believe in a fair race that is based on the facts, not lies of bitter adversaries that have nothing better to do than to put people personal information and old hardships on a anonymous website. You should be ashamed of yourself. |
